TRT Anyone?

I am being tested right now and go for my visit with the urologist to go over my results but your levels as well as weight ranges are very similar.

At 43 I had a widow maker heart attack just 7 months after winning the the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan ams. From the time I had the heart attack I have had most of the signals associated with low T. Ed, lack of drive regarding anything , mood swings, massive weight gain while working out, loss of muscle mass. Etc.

At the beginning of the lock down last year I went from about 275 to a peak of 296. I was able to diet and exercise and get down to 268 in March the day I had the second Moderna shot. I had all of the side effects but rather lasting a few days it lasted 2 weeks. I met with my cardiologist and he thinks I had the virous but was a symptomatic and the shot actually killed the virous and that is why I had the reaction I did at the time. It destroyed my fitness and I have gained back 10 lbs. I am trying to get back into the groove but it’s been hard.

Whether he puts me in TRT or not I need to change this if I am going to be healthy going forward.

Losing motivation and will to do basic activities is the worst part aside from ED

I get 10 pellets , I take the blocker in pill form. I usually end up around 900-1000.

What’s it like having the pellets implanted? Also because they are implanting them do you start off with shots or another way of getting the T until you find out the dosage that works best for you?

Your numb during the procedure but the site is fairly uncomfortable for the next 5-7 days. If you served and got the Penicillin AKA Peanut Butter shot it’s like that. Once they settle in and they start to break down it’s not noticeable.

No shots, your Dr bases how many you get based off of where your currently at and where you want to be. They do bloodwork before & 3-4 weeks after to check your levels. If you need more then the next time you get them done they’ll add but I’ve not had that experience. She got mine dialed right out of the gate.

I also meant to ask. How often are the pellets inserted?

Results were in my email this morning;

Total Testosterone - 260
Free - 11

Certainly explains some things. Now the search for a Dr. in my area who will be willing to help.

Can take those results to any hormone specialist and they will help. Most people don’t use local places.

Vitality men's specialist. Spokane/CDA. Specialize in TRT and I have heard very good things, it's where I'm going once my insurance card comes in the mail.

I’ve been dealing with Dr. Brendan Witte in Washington. I’m happy with results so far, I’ve been working with him since the first of the year. I’m in my early 40’s and really didn’t have a terrible total number to start with but for me it wasn’t about being adequate it was about being optimal. I stewed on it for about a year and finally took the plunge. So far so good.

How many of you all on TRT take an estrogen blocker to prevent conversion? Are you monitoring your estrodial levels?

I believe it is a case by case basis on the blockers. Estradiol is monitored and dose is adjusted until things level out. I do take a low dose, but I have a buddy that takes none.

I feel much better when I don't take the Anastrozole (aromatase inhibitors) while on TRT. There is a sweet spot for estradiol (estrogen) in men and you don't want it to be too low. If you exercise and follow a decent diet and moderate alcohol, you probably don't need to do anything about estrogen.

Nobody takes actual GH anymore except pro bodybuilders. Most will take peptides that stimulate the pituitary to produce more GH so levels are more like when you were in your 20's. Greater GH means healing from injuries and exercise faster. Growth hormone should really be called repair hormone.
