Do you guys normally get injection site pain.
I may be from rolling around putting a fuel tank in the truck.
Or maybe my body will get more used to it.
If you draw and inject with the same needle it will be more likely to be painful.

To my Oregon Toyota Cat Hunting Buddy.....you DO know you're supposed to swap needles after you draw the Test, yes?

Blunts are 18g I think. Do NOT cram one of those in your cheeks. Anything 22-25g will work. And you should NOT feel anything when you're done.

I've gone through nerves many times when I was a pansy and didn't want to restick for a better spot. It will bleed a little. And feel like you have a 9V on the end of your syringe. But it should not be noticeable after a few hours.

I've done self IM all over. My best spot was about where your pocket knife carry clip would imprint through your pants. Closer to your knee....is no bueno.

Met with a urologist a few weeks ago after my t level came in at 209 on a blood test my cardiologist did.

He sent me for 2 blood tests and my first dropped to 164 and the second was 245. Before my blood work he suspected I would need it and I see if that is true on the 11th.

I generally do it high in my butt, off to the side, or in my quad.

Rolling around on it or putting pressure on it the first day or so can make it tender. Just let her know so the location can be adjusted.

The only injection i had that ever left soreness was the one the nurse did. They inject way too fast. I do self injection slow at my own speed and it never leaves soreness.

I get the pellet implants, man, what a game changer. It was like someone turned the lights on and the fog cleared. It definitely improved my cognitive ability, sleep and mood. I pay for it out of pocket & it's worth every penny.
How many pellets? Are any of them an estrogen blocker? I have a friend who gets 5 pellets but one is a blocker. He hits 1300 a couple weeks after implanting.

I get 10 pellets , I take the blocker in pill form. I usually end up around 900-1000.

Those levels seem super high don't they?
No. Most good TRT doctors will want to get you at/close to 1000ng/dL.

To the OP, if you continue to experience injection site pain on your future injections, you could possibly be allergic to the carrier oil (depot) that the testosterone is suspended in. Usually if this is the case, you will have intense pain, swelling, and even fever around the injection site. Also, if your testosterone comes from a compounding pharmacy, rather than Upjohn or Watson per say, they could be using more BA/BB during the compounding process (when they make it). Higher levels of BA and BB can cause injection site pain for 24-48 hours post injection.

Pretty sure numbers are age specific, I’m not sure what a TRT doctor is but my urologist was not ok with mine that high

edit: I understand the abbreviation

TRT = Testosterone Replacement Therapy.
If you are happy with your numbers, thats all that matters. 1000ng/dL is still considered "normal", although at the very top of the scale.

This thread has certainly gotten my wheels turning. I have a lot of the symptoms described but have always been labeled with depression. Having taken multiple prescriptions to try and combat some of these issues and having none of them ever work leads me to believe I may need to head down this rabbit hole myself.

Heading in today for a blood draw, we will see what happens. Definitely curious at this point.

I’ve been on TRT therapy for a little over 3 years now. Levels prior was 150-250. Levels currently right around 600. Weight loss was definitely helped. Prior to TRT I was 280-330lbs and would work out and diet. The lowest I could get was 270lbs. Then after the TRT and same workout and diet I’m around 215lbs plus or minus 10. The main reason I started was my moods. I was getting angry all the time, for no reason. I’d get home from work and just be pissed and ended up taking it out on my family. I spoke with my provider and decided to try TRT. I’m a believer.

I am being tested right now and go for my visit with the urologist 6/11 to go over my results but your levels as well as weight ranges are very similar.

At 43 I had a widow maker heart attack just 7 months after winning the the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan ams. From the time I had the heart attack I have had most of the signals associated with low T. Ed, lack of drive regarding anything , mood swings, massive weight gain while working out, loss of muscle mass. Etc.

At the beginning of the lock down last year I went from about 275 to a peak of 296. I was able to diet and exercise and get down to 268 in March the day I had the second Moderna shot. I had all of the side effects but rather lasting a few days it lasted 2 weeks. I met with my cardiologist and he thinks I had the virous but was a symptomatic and the shot actually killed the virous and that is why I had the reaction I did at the time. It destroyed my fitness and I have gained back 10 lbs. I am trying to get back into the groove but it’s been hard.

Whether he puts me in TRT or not I need to change this if I am going to be healthy going forward.
