204 for yotes

204s are finicky to get to feed right in ARs. I know you have to use metal mags or grind the rib out of a Pmag but they are still less reliable than 223 based cartridges. Half the 204 ARs people own and say they feed fine bend the brass case slightly when chambered. It's just a hassle getting it right and even then you have to remember to only put 8 in your 10 round mag. 20 practical is simple and easy. No fireforming required. Same process as 223 while using abundant 223 brass. All with very minimal if any performance loss. Also when seating certain bullets 204 can exceed mag length where 20 prac will allow you to seat further out if needed. My bolt rifle 204 ammo doesn't fit in AR mag.

I have a 204 in ar plat and love it. We have found that the Nosler varmagedon seems to be the best round for coyotes in wv. Only downside to those rounds are sometimes hard to find and costly.

You haven't found them to be a bit too frangible? I have had good luck with 40g bergers and 39g Blitzkings

No i havnt but try no to hunt in the thick stuff as best a possible. I run the 32g ballistic tip i got a buddy that ran the 32g hollow point. Both seem to do great

I used one for a few years. It was awesome when there wasn’t any wind. The wind blows those little bullets around like crazy. I ended up moving to a 6CM for those reason and haven’t looked back.

Pigs dont like that 204 ruger. I am shooting a Berger 35gr bullet. I have killed alot of pigs with it.
