Everybody wants their slice of heaven, then nobody else gets it...... South Lake Tahoe is doing something similar.

It’s been a growing problem for years. In conversations with local ranchers many have cutoff access to residents due to past trouble with following rules.

If we are lucky enough to get access via a handshake or WGFD (Walk-in or Hunter Management) , we need to do our best to be good representatives of the hunting community.

However, the good ol’ days may be gone. These landowners see the non-resident tag prices and understand the value and demand for such properties. Hopefully we can find some attractive incentives to allow public hunters access state resources (elk).
