The problem with heavy bullets in the Creed at least for hunting is the low velocity they produce.

When you are only starting in the low to mid 2700fps range, they run out of steam and ability to expand reliably at distance.

For target shooting which is what the Creed was designed for expansion/fragmentation doesn’t matter.

All the ballistic test results I see tell me that out to 600 yds the 140gr Accubond starting out at around 2700fps ends up with just over 1000 ft lbs of energy at 600 yds. Nosler recommends 1800fps on target for reliable expansion and again that same Accubond fits that requirement. I've been rewarded with phenomenal on game performance over and over again. If it ain't broke I'm not fixing it.

El Pollo posted it above.

If I didn't reload I would stock up on Hornady Precision Hunter 143gr ELDx trying to get all the same lot number. A friend shoots em out of his Tikka 6.5CM and it shoots cloverleafs all day long and drops deer sized game in its tracks.
