    Shooting Beta Chrony

Make sure the lighting is good and it should work fine. When mine shows an error, I put a quartz light above it and it works perfectly after that.

    Wheel gun care

Yeah, keep it well oiled just like any other firearm and keep the cylinders clean. For the face of the cylinder and around the forcing cone (not down the barrel) use Flitz to get off the burnt powder. It will keep it looking like new for the stainless finish.

    Custom Black Gold Options

I also ordered a MBG custom sight last year from S&S along with several First Lite articles and couldn't of been happier with the service or the prices. Thanks

    Hunting in grizzly country

You can always sink the meat in a creek or lake until you are able to get it all out. Last year we kept our meat in a creek for 4 days until the hunt was over and it was fine. I heard it will keep for about a week or so.

    28 Nosler or 300 RUM?

I can't say for sure because I have never tried norma brass. I tried nosler 2 years ago with my proven load (which is not to hot) and had sticky extractions or split necks on about half of my loads. The brass was new and was mic'd out before loading. I talked to my gunsmith about it and he...

    28 Nosler or 300 RUM?

Right now it is tough to get new...probably won't happen. I have had mine since it was introduced it '99 so I was stalked up before the ammo shortages. Remington is still making the brass, they are only selling it as loaded rounds though. $70 for 20 loaded vs. about $1 a piece for the brass...

    28 Nosler or 300 RUM?

I would go with the 300 RUM for sure. I shoot 200 gr nosler accubonds out of mine with retumbo powder and it is a tack driver. I've tried lighter bullets but have been disappointed with the accuracy, not to mention the B.C. is better with the 200 gr. I also recommend shooting remington brass...

    Snakes

I don't believe they make an oral form. It's injected into your bloodstream. One more note if you are bitten, try to remain as claim as possible. I know that sounds impossible, but the higher your heart rate and blood pressure get, the more tissue damage you will receive. Just stay claim and...

    Snakes

Honestly don't worry about the snakes. They want less to do with you than you do them. I live in PA and go rattlesnake hunting every year. A few times I've popped up on them (jumping from rock to rock) but they always try to get away rather than strike. You really have to provoke them to get...

    Elk Decoy Worth It?

Being a backpack hunter, which decoy would you guys recommend. The Headsup or the poison arrow. I have heard a lot of good stuff about the MT decoys but didn't want to take the extra weight.

    Newbie looking for info

Last year was my first year heading out to Idaho for elk. We hunted the Middle Fork region in zone 26 (DIY). Didn't see much sign and no elk until the last night right before dark when I was able to shoot a decent 5x5. We will be heading back this year to the same area with a little more...

Listen and Win a Hoyt Carbon Bow

For shooting long ranges, 2nd and 3rd axis leveling as well as the ability to reduce torque, are the key to consistently shooting tight groups. I have been contemplating switching from my Mathews to a Hoyt for a few years now, and after this video I will be heading down to my local pro shop to...
