Would you sell Bitcoin for a Sheep hunt?

Financial assets of any kind are worthless until they are spent on or traded for some type of goods, services or experiences. They are just numerical digits. Tomorrow is promised to nobody. At 64 I know many who died before their time and never realized their dreams, including my wife of 40 years, at just 56 and my dad when I was just 15. There will always be opportunities in the future to make money on BTC regardless of its current price. Go on the hunt and enjoy life while you can...its fleeting.
I agree 100%. If you are set up to live comfortably financially otherwise, then spend the money and make dreams come true. My dad passed a few years ago at 62 just months after retirement. My wife's mom passed last year from a heart attack still working 6 months before retirement. I almost died 11 years ago at 28 from an AVM/brain aneurysm. You never know how long you have, so make the most of each and every day. Make memories and live your best life while you are still healthy enough to do it.

Update-

I did book the hunt but it was postponed due to poor sheep numbers on the ranch- the advantage of a reputable outfitter and me being a multi-time repeat hunter could trust him to deliver. And not take advantage of the hunter

It was fortuitous on multiple accounts I booked the hunt and that it was subsequently cancelled-

My friend (52 yo) died in the Nome AK plane crash just before the dates I was to leave. It was a sad time for the family but was able to make the funeral because of the cancelled hunt .

Also because of the cancelled hunt my wife and I still had tickets to AZ (enroute to Hermosillo) we decided to still go down to the sunshine for a couple days to get a break from winter and the recent death. My wife also felt she should spend an extra day in AZ with her sister. Then we would make it back for our friends funeral.

Needless to say the week after that funeral her sister (49 yr old) suffered from sudden heart failure! The family rushed down but it was too late. Severe brain damage and subsequent coma was unrecoverable. She passed 11 days later 😢.

So sad for my wife to lose a sister. It’s been a rough month for sure- but if I had not booked that hunt, and if it wasn’t cancelled, my wife wouldn’t have seen her sister (the last one in her big family to have seen her well) just the week before. So Grateful for that opportunity.

So I guess I am even more in the camp to live life while we can!

Tomorrow is promised to no one - Walter Payton (died age 45)

Wow sorry to hear all that. I run my own financial advising business and I always advise clients if it’s important to you and you have the funds do it. Also if you’re in the green, pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered. Goat you are going, like you said tomorrow is never promised.

Man really sorry to hear the loss you and your wife have experienced recently.

We are never promised tomorrow. Hope to hear about a sheep hunt when you do get to go.

Alaska Dall sheep hunt in 225 days, 10 hours, and 33 minutes...but who is counting. Can't wait. Training continues. Losing weight ain't easy like 20 years ago.

Best of luck with your decision. I would sign the contract and slap down the deposit.

I have never regretted any of the hunts I have been on and places that I have traveled. I have been very blessed, grateful, and thankful.

See you at the upcoming conventions. Happy hunting to all in 2025, TheGrayRider a/k/a Tom.

Sorry to hear about your recent loss of friends and family. Life is so short for all of us. I remain blessed, thankful, and grateful for my past and future journeys and excursions.

Dream big. Travel far and wide. We’ll see you on the mountain and happy hunting to all, TheGrayRider a/k/a Tom.
