Between this and the Cabela's thread I think we all need to ask ourselves why we are so anxious, ready and willing to see entities that have proven time and time again that they are on our side as enemies?

It's a symptom of the partisan insanity that has infected us as a country. Us vs them . Republicans right Democrats wrong. Democrats right Republicans wrong.
There isnt even an attempt made anymore to undertand where someone with a different set of ideas is coming from.


So When something like this happens the new American Litmus test is rolled out with the results preordained.
The sad truth is your more likely to get eaten by your own then anyone else. According to many on this thread your only as good as you last ball game, if you werent faking it all along.

I am "fortunate" to have an office job with two computer screens and everything I do is on the internet. Its really easy to stay in the loop and still complete my job. Hell, I listen to podcasts, music and documentaries all day when at work.

The two political parties equally, with their corporate partners in the media, lobby's have add too it and sighed on early as it's a huge cash cow for then.
Scream " gun control" ..send the NRA money !!
Scream " womens rights!" Send the NOW money!
Scream " Racism! " send the NAACP money !!
Scream "abortion " send planned parenthood money.


You get the picture. The thing they all have in common is willing partners in the media and the corporate government partnership. The parties stab each other in front of the TV cameras and then laugh and pat each other on the back will they are together cashing the lobbyist checks.
America gets fleeced and they line their pockets at our expense.

We have no idea where Sitka stands because they haven’t come out and made a definitive statement. I we have excuses from insiders saying trust us Sitka has fired the guy and stands with us but I’m calling BS. Sitka can make a statement which may or may not open them up to litigation. The fact that Sitka hired a sustainability consultant tells me they’ve gone leftist PC. They’re trying to have their cake and eat it too. To be real about Sitka they’re owned by a giant shithead company that has used anti competitive practices to stifle innovation in the outdoor industry for decades using their Goretex patent. We’ve all suffered from their actions. I was never a big fan of Sitka but I sure like my Timberline pants. I’ll keep them but I’m done with Sitka. Ironically I’m going to kind of flip sides and look at Kuiu now. I can write off all the personal d’baggery of Jason to mental illness due to traumatic brain injury but I cannot find any excuse for Sitka’s PC mealy mouth BS at the moment.

I would recommend any units in IL, they all hold elk and any deer tag is good for elk if you wear Sitka.

You would kill more elk wearing Filson and Stetson gear, I would hunt right on the Canadian border. Your tag is good for both sides if you are properly outfitted with said gear.
