RokStok

Guys this is badass... and thank you all for taking the time, money, and effort to get it right!

@Unknown Munitions & @Formidilosus I'm super happy as is, consider this just curiosity. I know one of the major items you were striving for it above bore line support to help control muzzle rise. Looks like the super aggressiveness on this at the beginning likely didn't work for some shooters on the comb side. Have you guys toyed around with the idea of possibly making the stock be able to accept an adjustable buttpad for those who may want to toy around with this in the future on prone shots? Still get a very aggressive above bore without the shark fin comb?

Yuck! We are building a lightweight field stock with an above bore line negative comb. Having one without the other was not the goal. Less is more.

This is just a quick model of the Rokstok I did to exhibit the features here. The rail, and the cutout in the rail are accurate.

The top of the rail will be flush with the main surface of the fore end. its 4.2" OAL, with bolt spacing of 2.75". The end of the picatinny section will match the shape of the end of the stock.

Look at the photo for corresponding #'s

1. (2) 10-32 fastening points
2. QD cup
3. 1.125" of arca rail
4. 1.82" of picatinny rail
5. (2) 10-32 tapped holes that can be used to add a standard sling stud to. (We also use these for workholding while manufacturing)View attachment 645062View attachment 645063View attachment 645066
@Salmon River Solutions

Looks awesome! Any plans for a similar version with an Outdoorsmans plate (in place of the acra section)?

True. In that case, do they all come with flush cups, or can I request none? Can't remember if that's been answered already or not
Hopefully no flush cups will be an option. I have zero use for them at this point. I also see how standard specs will keep pricing and availability in line, 347 options just complicates things.

This is what I want, damn it you just made me spend more money

Having not used either, the things that make the rokstok more appealing:

Shorter distance to trigger from grip and looks like better thumb shelf setup
Higher (in relation to bore) recoil pad (less muzzle rise)
Higher comb
flush or sub flush fitting front rails
Less expensive
Lead time

To me the grip is huge and I'm confident I'd significantly prefer the rokstock option.
I was sitting on the fence between the LR and Rokstok, but with the flush SRS arca pic up front I think that tipped me over.

When and how do I get one? I havent read through this entire massive thread

(Just kidding I’m not affiliated)

How many are we up to now?
Are we counting god killing kittens because ....
People always get it wrong, and set themselves up for failure by making unrealistic New Year’s resolutions… but rest assured, you aren’t the only one 😏

I planned on taking up golf this month so I could quit it for the new year, but I’ll have to think up something else, because golfing sounds too boring to start

Maybe I’ll pledge to wash my pickup more this year, that should be a realistic goal… might be the first time it’s been washed, but I know all of the scratches will show, so maybe not

I’ll think of something
I made a New Year's resolution to not make any more New Year's resolutions many years ago. It has worked out well for me and I have kept it.
