The All New MRC/S2H Marshall Rifle Now Available

Talked to Ian today- the one 6.5 cm that was ordered is going out this week. Four more are on the deck to go out next week.
Ian will do an update, but there was tweaking on the inlet that had to be done, and some barrel making issues. They seem to have got it worked out- the 6.5cm that is ready is shooting fantastic.

How are the 6mm coming along?

They will be testing the barrel blanks this month I believe. The hold up was a hard to run down dimensional issue with the bottom metal and inlet. They are saying they have it figured out.

Ian said his drop dead date for “late summer” is Labor Day.

For everyone:

This is not some BS where the companies involved just don’t care or aren’t getting it done. People don’t grasp it, but it’s a big undertaking to do everything that was laid out. The date should have never been stated, however it went from nothing existing, to the first two rifles being assembled in February, to the first true ordered production rifle being shipped in 5 months. Again- everyone is sensitive to the timeline. However, Ryan, Ian, MRC, and me- for whatever my part is; cares more about them being correct than anything else.

@Formidilosus I can appreciate that. As I've stated before in this thread, the "late summer" timeframe didn't bother me, as long as I can hunt this fall with it. I think the radio silence is what's concerning. Thanks for clarification.

I think it is simply the lack of communication that irritates people. Transparency is everything especially if they have someone's money. In this day and age, it's all about trying to gauge interest first, before committing to build something. When things don't go as planned and delivery dates are missed, it gets tough to stay positive.
Lack of communication is entirely my fault. It's been busy as hell here behind the scenes, and I haven't taken the time I should to keep everyone posted.
Hope everything is ok over there @Imac45acp!
I personally can’t decide between a Marshall in 6 Creed, a Marshall in 308, or a Junction in 300wm that I chop/thread/and wait to have a rokstok made for (maybe even a wood one).

Is Marshall production still ticking along? Any chance prefit barrels are still planned to happen someday? And finally, could a guy order a Junction or Highline in 6 creed?
Marshall development/production is finally moving along. Prefits will be offered, and I'm also happy to supply the tenon specs to anyone that wants to have them made by a third party.
I'd love to get an update on the left handed version. My fingers are crossed that maybe it will be this year. Happy to help test one out if needed.
Lefty versions of our rifles will come, but I wouldn't expect them anytime soon. I'd tentatively say early next year.

Again, I personally apologize for the lack of recent updates. The 6.5 Creed that's on order is getting cerakoted this morning. Once done, it will be retested in it's entirety and shipped out. 3 or 4 more are riding right behind it along with a 308. Some of those will be going out to the S2H team. The inletting/bedding has proven to be a major pain in the a$$ to get worked out. A lot of that has to do with the multiple parties involved (MRC, UM, Stocky's), and the amount of time it takes to process changes. Our action has a lot more surfaces to contend with than a tube style receiver, and the pressure points take time get dialed in.

I'm still hoping to be shipping the 6/22 creeds well before Labor Day, but it's far more important for the guns to be right.

6 Creed barrels are still being tweaked.
22 Creed is getting the twist dialed in.
6.5PRC shoots like a laser beam

Part of our work behind the scenes is a complete reprogram of the receiver. We started working with another company when developing the Form bow prototypes, and have since hired the owner as our own manufacturing manager/chief programmer. You won't notice much difference in the feel, but the receiver consistency has gotten even better. Last week when doing final approval on the 6.5CM, I was swapping a barrel and scope between two different receivers and stocks. In all four configurations, the point of impact shifted 1/2"max from one to the other. I ended up putting 80 rounds into 1.75" without ever adjusting the scope. I put about 120 rounds through the gun, and the big cluster is the last 8- 10 round groups.

It also seems I'm not getting any PM email notifications. Ryan was sending me too many dick pics, so they may be going to my spam folder. If you need an update, you can still PM me here, or email me directly- imacdonald(at)montanarifleco.com. I'll try to pop on here more frequently. No home internet and garbage cell coverage at my house limits my connectivity to the office, and I'm usually balls to the wall here. Obviously replace the (at) with the @ sign on that email address...

Crap, forgot to mention- since we were doing a reprogram, I did some minor changes to the pic rail configuration adding another slot to the front. It wasn't really an issue on the short actions, but I found some of the newer short scopes were really tight on mounting. The extra slot gives a little more options to get your eye relief dialed in.

Since the 6.5 prc is dialed in is that now available to order?

Great update, the level of detail is appreciated.

Accuracy is dialed in, I haven't done any formal feed testing, though I didn't notice any hiccups with the one mag I have on hand (waiting on MDT).
Come again?
Sorry for the confusion, our Prime Archery flagship bow is called the Form- no relation to our resident RokSlide rockstar.
