For the torn carbon base price, should I select two colors or one? Is it finished with a matte coating over the paint?

It was hard to tell if the black you mentioned was the webbing on the FDE or the spray around the carbon.
One color for base price, the Cerakote itself is already Matte finish. The black is the highlights around the carbon. We will try to match webbing to one of the colors the best we can. The webbing spray does not come in as many colors as Cerakote does.

My anxiety from this thread is starting to be a problem. Didn’t check my phone for half a day and see UM posted and I immediately was worried I was late to the party.

Hahahaha I did the same. I cut out of a meeting and ran to the bathroom so I could check it. Life's too short to work that much anyway.

I just added 4" ARCA to the optional accessories list. This rail would be installed just in front of the DBM for tripod shots.

Will the single qd cup be able to be mounted on the bottom edge of the rear part of the stock with out causing any issues with shooting off of a rear bag? How strong is the epoxy vs a screw with a sling stud?

QD cups will already be installed on railed stocks front and rear L/S for right handed stocks. It is much easier to carry a rifle when QD cups are installed on the side of the stock opposite of the bolt side. Then the stock lays flat on your back.

Once this stock is out, I'll be very interested to hear reviews from folks who look like they live in the Shire, like myself. I was going to order up a KRG Bravo but the updated version of this stock looks pretty mint.

I have the hunters rail on my tikka stock currently. Do people like a 4” acra rail better than the arca mini in front of the DBM? I haven’t needed use slide the tripod forward or back.

Is the bare carbon version sealed with some flavor of clear coat (I.e. ready for field use) or will it need to be finished by the customer?

UPDATE 12/20/2023

I'll start again by saying I haven't read the last few pages yet, but I will today and answer any questions there.

We tested the last stock print on several people last week and decided on some slight changes. Those changes have been implemented and printed and the new print is currently on its way to @Formidilosus and he should have it tomorrow for final approval. Thank you @Stockys for being so willing to indulge our need for the stock to be perfect down to the tenth of an inch.

If he is finally satisfied with it, we will initiate the pre sale asap.

Below is the drawing displaying the texture panels for some further info not posted before.

Looks like about 0.5” above the bore. Is that where you ended up.

It looks like the fore end might be a hair wider than the VG2 hunter. Is that correct?

I love the fact that you are including texture areas on the grip and fore end and the QD cup and rail options.

With the reduced negative comb, I’m going to have to take back my joke about it being mistaken for a great white shark fin. But I’ll likely call mine Quasimodo when I get it. I really like the look of this stock. Great job on this. Really appreciate UM, Form and Ryan for putting the work in to create something innovative.

If I wanted a non scalloped/railed caveman version, but I also wanted qd flush cups on the left side, would I include that in the checkout notes along with cerakote color?

Would I need to add qd flush cups to cart as well?

So in the example picture you posted, the color that would be chosen for that one would be tan (or whatever that exact color is) and the black around the exposed carbon is standard

I need this pre-sale to happen before the end of December, as I have figured out my 2024 NY Resolution - not to buy any gear for the entire year. 🤞
People always get it wrong, and set themselves up for failure by making unrealistic New Year’s resolutions… but rest assured, you aren’t the only one 😏

I planned on taking up golf this month so I could quit it for the new year, but I’ll have to think up something else, because golfing sounds too boring to start

Maybe I’ll pledge to wash my pickup more this year, that should be a realistic goal… might be the first time it’s been washed, but I know all of the scratches will show, so maybe not

I’ll think of something
