Curious what limbsaver pad have you decided on?
My “original” carbon rokstock with cerakote and rail was at 31 ounces and change I believe. If my new one on order is +2 ounces for the new carbon, that will be really pushing where I wanted to be weight wise. I am eager to see the lite version as well.Yeah I’m definitely looking forward to the lite version. Not that 31oz is terrible but it does add ~.4lb over the stock it’s meant to replace on a rifle that was intended to be lightweight

This is a bad ass picture
Railed is the way for me because I use Spartan bipods. I just haven’t added the Spartan adapter to that gun yet.Curious what limbsaver pad have you decided on?
Also, looks like you have 3 railed and one smooth, what’s your input on the railed vs no rail decision?
You won’t be able to tell the difference in 2 ounces field carrying your gun, I promise. My “original” carbon rokstock with cerakote and rail was at 31 ounces and change I believe. You are totally right, but I’m a weight nerd. 2 ounces isn’t a huge deal, but if you shave 2 ounces off of a few places it adds up quickly. You won’t be able to tell the difference in 2 ounces field carrying your gun, I promise.
Justify it by carrying 1 less spare bullet cuz you’re less likely to need it with the almighty rokstok??You are totally right, but I’m a weight nerd. 2 ounces isn’t a huge deal, but if you shave 2 ounces off of a few places it adds up quickly.
I’ll just take zero bullets and throw my rokstock at them.Justify it by carrying 1 less spare bullet cuz you’re less likely to need it with the almighty rokstok??
They mentioned on the podcast the latest batch of carbon has more resin which is helping with the surface finish and strength in some areas, iirc. Which sounds like they’re using prepreg vs raw fabric. It’s probably resulting in slightly thicker walls, etc that would account for the weight. What is the new carbon??
You'd have more friends to shoot with if you used a suppressor. Just sayin'.
And here I was thinking that they would *all* be orange ...

The 300 PRC still kicked like a mule. The Rokstok certainly changed the way it recoiled. With the Rokstok it recoiled straight back which is what I was looking for. Certainly not spotting shots at 100 yards but much better than the stock stock.Look forward to hearing about the felt recoil from this
I put a Rokstok and Silencerco Scythe on my Tikka 300 Win and the recoil is acceptable. I'm definitely a fan boy of the combination. The 300 PRC still kicked like a mule.
