Yeah I’m definitely looking forward to the lite version. Not that 31oz is terrible but it does add ~.4lb over the stock it’s meant to replace on a rifle that was intended to be lightweight
My “original” carbon rokstock with cerakote and rail was at 31 ounces and change I believe. If my new one on order is +2 ounces for the new carbon, that will be really pushing where I wanted to be weight wise. I am eager to see the lite version as well.

Curious what limbsaver pad have you decided on?

Also, looks like you have 3 railed and one smooth, what’s your input on the railed vs no rail decision?
Railed is the way for me because I use Spartan bipods. I just haven’t added the Spartan adapter to that gun yet.

All of mine will use the factory pad but with 1/2” worth of spacers if UM will ever get them orderable on their site. Scopes all need to slide back about 3/8” but they are all still zeroed and I don’t want to mess with them right now. All still perfectly shootable as they sit.

You won’t be able to tell the difference in 2 ounces field carrying your gun, I promise.

What is the new carbon??
They mentioned on the podcast the latest batch of carbon has more resin which is helping with the surface finish and strength in some areas, iirc. Which sounds like they’re using prepreg vs raw fabric. It’s probably resulting in slightly thicker walls, etc that would account for the weight.

I’ll just take zero bullets and throw my rokstock at them.

The stock's design may cause it to have an unbalanced areodynamic force that will result in it's flight path being elliptical. When used in this manner it should be referred to as a RokaRang. Make sure it's legal to use in the area you're hunting.
