I drew general.
If I had also drew a LE permit, it would void my general.
If possible I would like an additional opertunity to harvest and additional animal.

It doesn’t void your general license. The permit allows (permits) you to use your general license in the limited district you put in for. Most elk permits now further restrict you from using your general license in districts other than your permit district as well. You will still need to validate your general license when you kill.

Well, that's a new one for me.. back door used to say successful, but now says unsuccessful. This has been the case for the last hour with it still showing my permit draw pending. Not sure what to make of that.. but assuming it's not good.

This looks to me like you elected to turn your general tag back in if you were unsuccessful for your permit. It’s odd to see that the permit is still pending though….give it some time

That's the case. I did elect to return the combo if not drawn on the permit. I'm just hoping they make that change once the permit draw starts and not once you fail to draw. I could see the system making that change ahead of the results.. but that could also just be wishful thinking on my part.

I think the hunter search allows you to see when each permit is drawn. Each permit is it's own lottery. I'm still waiting on my unit to draw...

If you draw a limited entry tag you cant hunt in another general area and even in years past when you could it still only allowed you to kill 1 elk.
