New Athlon Chronograph

I heard the tariffs got them.

I don't think Athlon was going to make it's projected shipping date of late April anyway, tariffs or no tariffs, tariffs just gave them the scapegoat they needed. Places that were supposed to get demo units did not as production was behind.

I would say middle to late June is when I will finally get mine that I pre-ordered in February.

Better late than never, right, at least I locked in my price back in February when I ordered from cameralandny.com.

I ordered mine from Guidefitter. Reached out to them and they hadn’t heard anything on a shipping delay because of the tariffs. They said at this point they expect the chronos to still ship in the next week or two. Fingers crossed something gets through.

I had pre ordered from Midway in Feb. Just called them,the guy didnt have any idea to the "when" having just started reloading I am stuck with 40 rounds loaded but cannot shoot for load development without it. Well I could but it would be pointless. May need to just order the Garmin at twice the price- be curious if it really is the tariff's or is that just cover for not having them ready to ship

All my reloading is without a chrono then shoot at a waterline at distance.

I emailed Athlon at the beginning of this week and they said that the chronos should be shipping early this next week. That was 5 days ago, but haven’t heard anything since. I’m operating under the assumption it’ll be here by the end of next week… you know what they say about assumptions though!

After seeing others got that same response last week I ordered a Garmin. Got one for $479. Ill take that

Better late than never, right, at least I locked in my price back in February when I ordered from cameralandny.com.

I think June is probably realistic ^^. I'm in for the long haul but minimal pain because EuroOptic only needed 20% down to hold it. I need to go cheap because I don't reload yet so paying for a Garmin would be just plain silly.

Who got this same response? I have yet to hear Athlon commit to even a week timeframe at this point. So the fact that they have narrowed it down gives me hope. Maybe I will eat my words but it seems they should be shipping next week.

Email this morning from S&S Archery, sounds promising:

“Just wanted to give you a quick update on your Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro Chronograph order.

Good news! It looks like the first shipment from Athlon is finally expected to arrive sometime in the first couple of weeks of May.

Now, a heads-up: it's possible the initial shipment won't have enough for everyone who's ordered.

So, we're going to ship them out in the order we received your orders. If yours is in the first batch, we'll send you a shipping notification with tracking info as soon as it goes out.

If your order doesn't make it in the first shipment, we're expecting another one from Athlon and plan to get the remaining orders out to you in late May or early June. Once we know who's orders will not be filled in the first batch, we'll let you know.

Of course, if you'd rather not wait, you can still cancel your order for a full refund. Just reply to this email with your name and order number, and we'll take care of it.

Based on the tracking info we got from Athlon, we should see our first shipment arrive on Monday, and have them turned around by Wednesday. Nice work on the vid, thanks for getting it out for everyone quickly.

Curious if the averages you observed were reading regularly a little faster than the Garmin (or slower) or if it was just kind of back and forth.
