New Athlon Chronograph

And it also says that the price will now go up $50 although is you have already placed an order the original purchase price will be honored.

Disappointing. And kind of infuriating. Not on Athlon's part though.

What did the email say?
We have just been informed by Athlon that the shipment has been unexpectedly delayed due to the current tariff situation.

Unfortunately, Athlon is unable to provide a specific new shipping timeframe at this moment, as they are waiting for the tariff situation to be resolved. We understand this news may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. This could delay our expected ship date of April 22 by a few days, or weeks or sadly even months. We just don't know.

We value your business and appreciate your patience as we navigate this unforeseen circumstance. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide you with updates as soon as we receive more information from Athlon regarding a revised shipping schedule.

In the meantime, if you would prefer not to wait, we understand. If you wish to cancel your order for the Athlon Rangemaster Chronograph, please simply reply to this email with your name and order number, and we will process a full refund for you promptly.

Finally, we also want to inform you that the price of the Athlon Rangemaster Chronograph will be increasing by $50.00 starting today. Please rest assured that if you have already placed your order, you will be honored at the original price you paid. This price increase will only affect new orders placed going forward.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We will be in touch with further updates as soon as they become available.

This is disappointing, while I get them not wanting to pay the extra tariffs its a little disingenuous to say to customers that preordered with an expected date in mind "we cant ship your product because of the tariffs" when they could absolutely ship them now, but they are choosing not to because they don't want to cut into their profit margin.

Again, I totally understand WHY they don't want to do it, don't blame it all on the tariffs, they knew they were coming and could have at least made partial shipments earlier on like so many other companies have.

$50 price increase is likely designed to discourage people canceling orders.

Thanks. I ordered through Cameraland and haven't gotten an email like this yet. I spoke with them earlier this week and they expected them to arrive around the 14th. I guess this will change.

Got an email from EuroOptic because I previously had the Athlon in my cart. They emailed a custom quote for $299 and are asking for a 20% deposit to "lock in" pricing. Figured some of yall might want the info. Sales guy's name was Tyler.

You cost me some $ today but seems like a great deal. Hopefully these things work…

I'm still on the fence. I don't really need one but at some point I do want to reload. I just bought a magnetospeed here in the classifieds last week for general speeds to start my dopes otherwise I would've already bought one.

I used to have a magneto speed, but it changed poi by nearly 12". I don't want to"waste" rounds just for velocity. I want to at least be able to zero check. And, being able to measure velocity on any shot you take from prone is helpful if you reload. Sometimes brass can change with multiple reloads a bit and start causing velocity changes. It's nice to be able to see that real time rather than wonder why I'm hitting high/low at distance

To bad they can't manufacture them in the good ol' us of a. I realize they use super cheap labor and parts but if you can ship it half way around the world and still make a profit? They must cost about $1 .50 to make. LOL

Been using the Garmin since release and very happy. Price point on the Athlon is nice though. More weird times coming with these tariffs.
