I have mixed feelings on this as there were a lot of Kuiu haters on their forums that would jump on any pack thread and just say Kuiu packs suck, get SG or Exo. No constructive criticism there and I did find the trolls annoying. That being said, I am all for an open forum for discussion and as long as people are open minded or comparative it is usually very helpful. It's the trolls that come in and say "buy Exo, everything else is crap" that don't contribute to the conversation and I can see why they would want to remove them. There have really only been a couple of threads that have been moderated and the problem is that they were the wrong ones. There were threats and comments that went way over the line that were not addressed, but a thread on Exo packs or something got deleted. The moderators only come through once in a blue moon on look at the top couple threads. Look at it this way, would you want someone coming to your place of business and telling people not to buy your stuff and to go somewhere else because their stuff's better.

As far as not taking constructive criticism, I disagree. Quite often have they addressed constructive criticism; often not directly, but look at the new hats. Not once did I see them acknowledge publicly that their hats were too small, but all of a sudden properly sized hats pop up on father's day and on sale at that. My only complaint here is that they aren't as engaging on the forum about things like this, but then you are publicly admitting that the thing you are currently selling has problems, which is also bad business.

I must of been on a different forum.

That's been my problem with them all along. They find a problem don't pull the product just push a new one out. I have to wait until their products get vetted by people I trust not groupies that believe Jason craps gold. I'm excited to see this new lineup anything that drives performance wear prices down I'm all for. They defiantly make some great pieces but they also had more than one dud. I'm doubtful they'll change their business model and supply will remain lower than demand it's partly what keeps them a " premium" product.

Besides price i wonder how the Teton stuff compares to the peleton stuff? Or expand on the chinook series?

Don't think it will come close to Peleton or Chinook. Seems like it would be a minimal stretch if any, poor breatability and not have any type of stink removal stuff.

That rain gear is gonna be great for those who don't regularly hunt wet climates but want some insurance. Very light weight for a 3 layer shell. Looks like a great system but I doubt I'll buy any of it as my closet is already full of their other stuff.

The rain pants interest me but for a jacket I would probably just get a Precip. The insulated jacket has interested too.

I actually think this is a good move in the right direction. For hunters like myself who don't hunt hard core like a lot of you guys, this line will be perfect. I'm just getting sick of the insane prices these high end main lines are charging. It's crazy!! The first comment out of the average guys mouth when looking at prices are "how much???" I myself thought it must have been a misprint. I've bought a few of the high dollar items, and still don't understand the crazy prices. But again, I'm not hunting Alaska year round, just Texas. Another thing is I'm sure this line will be sold out today anyway and not available till next year, so I'll just wait till then. I'll have to sell one new jacket to buy some today. So, bottom line for the average guy, this line should work. I'll be interested in seeing some real reviews

I don't see this stuff being much different then the run of the mill soft shell materials that you can get in any catalog/ box store/ website....so if that's the case, why pay a premium....looking at the prices of this line you can surely do better for similar materials.

I will just stick to the main line rather then watered down version

Agreed Maui. I'm ordering the rain jacket today. I'd be interested to know how the tees compare to the Pelaton 130 as I think my 130 is great and don't mind the extra $15 per shirt if it's better. The pants may be compromising too much for a little cost savings, so I doubt I'll jump on those. The puffy and soft shell are welcome additions and don't seem to be compromising much.

Also, don't know if anyone has noticed yet but they added a Tiburon Hat and Boonie today as well.

I'm not sure how you know the quality of the fabrics KUIU is using for the Teton line since it was only released today and no one besides KUIU has seen or felt it. These prices look to me to be way below any of the premium brands out there. Seems like a perfect opportunity for someone who doesn't go on extreme hunts and doesn't need all the technical features that most of the KUIU gear offers.

Seems like a good deal to me.

Yea it came out today however if it's comparable to Kuiu main line, then we been getting screwed for a long time.... So what's been cut if it's not quality and performance?

Most of the entry level soft shell fabrics are all pretty similar quality and price, regardless of the brand and the odds are that this is over priced gander mountain stuff....

Welcome. No need to be confrontational with your first post. Most are simply stating its not a major beak through in technology and to be at certain price points you have to give something up. I'm interested to hear reports when items are in hand. I love to save money and hope this moves the whole market to a better price point

Exactly - like the Teton rain jacket is 10,000 waterproof/10,0000 breathable rather than the NX ultra which is 20,000/40,000 - both jackets under 9 ounces. You are giving up performance but for a rain shower every now that then...maybe worth it to some. I think their are other options (like the Outdoor Research Helium Ryan posted the other day) out there but certainly fit the bill for some....

When I first heard about this line, my initial thought was "synthetic" and "Gander"...Maybe I'm wrong but I agree with some of the posts above that say there will probably be cheaper options for like kind. But this stuff will be dressed up in Vias...Time will tell...

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be confrontational. I know it was my first post but I have been a forum reader and followed Rokslide for a long time. I have a hard time understanding posts about products when there is no actual first had experience. It takes away from the constructive conversations about the product.
