I love mine, has had no issues with anything I've run through it. My little girls BB gun, shotgun, pistol, rifles, I just set it up and it gets every shot.
Being a Garmin dealer I have had one since they have came out.
I have never had a single issue at all out out of mine.
It goes to the range with me all the time.
Also nice it works well with my bow as well.
Been using a Caldwell for years. I've shot over a Magneto and Lab Radar just enough to get a feel for them.
I bit the bullet and bought a Garmin last summer. Biggest game changer I've seen for the Relaoder in a very long time. No lighting issues, set up quirks aiming or switching between rifles.
Don't even read the instructions, just charge and set up anywhere in a large area on the bench.
My only complaint and it's very minor is the tripod is too light. When shooting magnums with a brake the blast will occasionally knock it over. Simple fix was a larger tripod I had on hand. There's other mounts being made for it now to help with this.
I got the Garmin to upgrade from a "shoot through" style chronograph mainly because of the time savings of not having to set it up down range on a tripod and make sure I'm not going to hit it and that I'm shooting directly over the optical sensors so it doesn't skip any of the shots. It's a game changer for load development because it's so convenient to use at the range, and also easy to throw in the pack to use in the mountains.
The compactness, reliability, and ease of use will have you using it more. At first I wasn’t sure about the ultra light weight, but it is nice when hauling a heavy range bag to not even notice it’s there. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars.
The Garmin is awesome. Changed the game for sure. Take it for every range trip now as it’s so easy to use. Still have a labradar and do use it to figure bc for unknown bullets, but it rarely goes to the range.
