Not country, but follows the thread.

It's country ... with attitude.

Ol Roger Miller is an interesting cat. Lived in Erick, OK not too far from my dear father's hometown of Sayre, OK. Not much out there but still good quail hunting around Sweetwater.

There's a watering whole called Sherrys Stateline Saloon just on the OK side of the state line that's been there over 60 years. My dad and his hunting buddies would stop in there after a quail hunt.

I believe I heard him say "They pulled 'Dang Me' out of the album" ....

Mutherfuggers ....

Luke Combs is one of the best concerts I have ever seen and a hunter to boot, not to mention just a genuine guy who worked hard to get where he is. First and foremost thanks his parents for their support. Keep indoctrinating the kids to dislike things like humility and family.
We like Luke Combs too. We don't go to concerts. Who is indoctrinating the kids to dislike humility and family?

I don’t love Childers’ new music all that much and he seems to be taking up an activist role. Older stuff is out of this world. Marcus King is amazing. Zach Bryan great.

Favorite of all time is John Prine. Cried like a child the day he died. Many fond memories involving him or his music. Hilarious and brilliant song writer. Only played three chords on the guitar but picked ‘em in a fun way.

Any of the classics like Merle, George Jones, Kristofferson, Tammy Wynette, Kitty Wells etc.
and for current artists Colter Wall, Vincent Neil Emerson, Nick Shoulders, Bella White, Dean Johnson, Sierra Ferrel and a few others.
Country is alive and well.
