Been a long time since I've refinished a stock! Bought this CVA Mountain Rifle 3 or 4 years ago and finally forced myself to get this going.
Plain maple stock i finished with a 600 grit sand job. On my 3rd thin coat of Birchwood Casey tru oil. I also used 4 coats of Birchwood Casey walnut stain.
Ill pull the trim off once I get the finish where I want it. All steel will be rust browned.
Once its completed ill post more pictures.
Also have to bed the front and rear section of the stock.
Been so busy working on my shop and my "new" 79 f250, muzzleloading just hasnt been able to happen often enough. Plus 2 weeks of 95 to 100 degree days has really been sucking.
