We were planning to shoot around 0600 and then be to a spot with service good enough for YouTube upload at 0800.

The challenge starts with the shooting. Like was stated, it appears as though we aren't allowed to pull the trigger until 8am mtn time. The advantage goes to the guys with cell service close to or at the shooting location.

Which is my point. It’s a fun shoot, not a race that would entice people to bend the rules. Which would be fixed by doing a Sunday drawing for all shooters that post videos Saturday! I could probably make it by 8am but my daughter and wife (both have tags this year) are wanting to participate. I’d upload videos of them too, which would be fun, my daughter is shooting 400 (she’s 11) and the wife thinks she can shoot 500! #everyonegetsincluded #participationtrophy

Especially with the threat of steep consquences. I feel that was out of line and is changing the challenge to a competition. If I wanted that I would just go compete in a competition.

How can you tell where the sun is? Unless everyone posts their timezone and time of shot? 9 am cst for me has the sun up fairly high. It could also be cloudy. I would hate to get banned from the slide over participating in a shooting challenge. Just trying to understand as this goes against warmth was explained in the podcast.

No, you can't shoot today, last week, or yesterday, that was plainly spelled out. You're better than that kind of a mocking answer and it's only adding to the confusion.

@Justin Crossley said shooting can start anytime on June 3rd, that seemed plainly spelled out and made a whole lot of logical sense.

Then talk of reading sun position and a coded meaning to the word "start" came about and now folks are confused and wanting to make sure they fit their actions into new parameters so they aren't booted like you eluded to. If there's a last minute out of left field definition to "start" that you are going to hold people to, it would be helpful to re-define it since we thought Justin did a while ago.

OK I've been on the phone to sort what is what

Obviously there was some confusion on what the official rules mean by start time

I do feel that the official start time should be the same across the board for everyone but to focus on the intent of the cold bore challenge the start time doesn't factor in.

So for THIS YEAR read the official rules and interpret them and use the honor system to follow them to the best of your knowledge.
