2025 Cold Bore Challenge Q&A Thread

My target is still hanging in a tree. I stopped and took 3 shots at 813yds. I guessed at a 4mph wind full value. I missed all 3. I checked zero and can't blame that. I forgot my pack so I piled up stuff that was available, including an ammo box and a couple home made sand bags for a front rest. I'll keep trying.

I'm getting over my desire for a fast/long range 6mm. I currently can hit anything consistently at long range under a realistic hunting scenario, as I've proven to myself and Rokslide over the past few cold bore challenges.

I'm having trouble squaring these two posts... Unless you're being facetious or have a different definition of long range (or consistent)? 2/3 at 600 in the challenge and 0/3 at 800 doesn't read as "good to go, nothing to improve upon" to me. Help me understand?

Doing a cold bore challenge once a year being a "determiner" for anything makes no sense to me haha.

Get a 22CM or 6CM and shoot high BC heavies and have fun, see what happens with regular shooting.

Damnit.

I'm weaning myself off the dope chart and adding random ranges and timed shots. I made an irrational decision when planning this shot.

I did not range this shot but had a known landmark to compare my range to and should have added .3 not .1. Shot was 430 yards.
