I got my boys up early to go shoot with me before work. My oldest had hits at 388, 513 and 623. He had some misses too. He has a hard time holding on the target and not over it because it's far. The youngest tried the 388 a couple times with a .223 ai but missed.

I am not sure where we hit the targets today. Just ringing the steel was fun.

It was a little chilly this morning at 47°. My youngest boy said he didn't like the cold metal cheekrest of the chassis on the .223 ai. The wind was about the same as 2 days ago.

I had a first round hit at 623 today. I shot off my tripod. The last bull elk I killed was off the tripod.

You can start shooting as early as you like on June 3rd and post the first shot that day after 8:00 am.

Practice is any rifle shooting, so you would need to complete the challenge before the match or start after the match.
I'm hoping this is the case! I'm at a baseball tournament with my boy in another town. We're hiking targets in this afternoon to a canyon I found on Google Earth and getting up early to shoot. He's gotta be at the ballfield at 8:00 so no shooting for us after that.

That's correct 8am is the start.

If your posting at 805 I'm looking at the position of the sun.

Cheating will have steep consequences

I may be missing sarcasm in this, but post #303 in this thread says you can shoot as early on 6/3 as you want, but can't post until 8 am.

I remember being able to shoot anytime tomorrow and post 8am mountain?

I can shoot at the house but was hoping to be able to do it earlier and move onto some other stuff and just post later.

Either way I hope my shooting is better than my painting skills! 6023CA7A-258C-4CF8-BB12-8AE6C8582021.jpeg

Let's get this cleared up!

We were planning to shoot around 0600 and then be to a spot with service good enough for YouTube upload at 0800.
