ATLAS Cooler & Tumbler June 2016 Group Buy-- Customer Feedback

What's funny is they don't even have coolers advertised on the website anymore. Hopefully a state AG gets ahold of this and makes some heads roll.
 
That gave me an idea, here's a link to the state of Texas attorney general's deceptive trade and practices site. If everyone could call and complain or explain to them what has gone on, hopefully they'll look into it. As the number of calls increase, the issue becomes much more real.

I will call the Austin Texas AG office also if someone can post the pertinent information to pass along to them. I want to roast this guy.

Atlas:All you have to do is cancel via the website if you are unhappy with delivery times. We apologize for delays but do not have enough inventory to fulfill orders until December.

Me:I will go and cancel. Trust me there will be reports to the BBB and FTC by myself and at least 50 others. I did not offer to give you an interest free loan. Thats not how this shit works. Tell the shit head owner to go **** himself!

Me (today 9/13): I canceled on 8/30 and have not received a refund. When can I expect this?

I'm not sure how you think it works as far as getting your way but telling the company owner to go *** himself probably isn't the best approach. You can tell the 50 others the same thing, the original agreement was no cancellations after the 1st of July and delays are always possible on a back ordered item. We are working on getting everyone's refunds. .


Somehow they believe that this whole debacle is our fault. I may have crossed the line in telling the owner to go **** himself, but Im certain that I would still not have a refund from Atlas even if I was nice to them. I got my money back from the long arm of Visa but just wanted to poke the bear a little...

Is anyone else confused about the messages that are being relayed from Atlas? On one hand they are telling us that orders placed can't be cancelled after 7-1-2016. On the other, they state that they are working on getting everyone thier refunds. Which is it? My bank credited me the funds when I filed the dispute but I wonder if Atlas will be fighting the chargeback.

I think in their twisted minds they think they are doing us a favor by letting us cancel now when originally they told us we couldn't cancel after July 1st. At least I think that is what they are trying to say. Either way it's rediculous, if you can't deliver the product then give me my money back. Why should you get to keep my money if you can't deliver the promised product?

Well, shiiiit...

I ordered 2 tumblers independently of the GB and they were delivered today. No one more surprised than me. I received a shipping notice a week ago Monday with an expected delivery date of 9/9/2016. When the tracking system showed a label created, but nothing picked up/dropped off yet, I emailed Atlas this weekend. On Monday this week, FedEx sent me a notice that a package was received. It delivered today.

Now, for my cooler thru the GB....do I hang on until December???

I suspect we aren't getting refunds because the money we paid them was used to fulfill the Walmart order. Their counting on future sales to get us our money. It is apparent this business practice is already catching up with Atlas.

I will be honest I would love for you to keep your order out there. I'm very curious if they deliver. I had an order for 4 coolers and it was just to much $$$ to take a chance.

Yeah, to be honest, I am inclined to stay in it to see the outcome. I am in it for $200, and have wasted $200 in worse ways over my lifetime. I just want to see if they come through...

The realist in me says get out. But, the realist in me told me to walk away from the Black Jack table in Vegas too...didn't listen then, either.
 
Unless we get another group buy going, I'm probably going to stay in as well.

Whats funny, is I ordered this cooler for a late season cow hunt in mid December back in June....I still won't have it for when I leave. How phucking sad is that?
 
Anybody have any movement with Palm or other manufacturers on the possibility of a group buy?
 
I'm amazed by the people who say they are staying in and expecting to receive a cooler. This atlas company is giving all you guys the shaft. Guys are canceling orders and only getting refunds when they file a dispute with their credit card companies. The people at atlas basically told everybody at Rokslide to go pound sand. And some of you STILL think they are actually working to fill your order??? Crazy.

I talked to this F-ing schmo (Ben @ Atlas), on a couple different occasions and I really was convinced that he was a straight up dude. Also spoke with Gotdraw in great lengths regarding this whole group buy and, I know that he felt the same way I did. We were all taken for a ride. All I can say is, GET OUT NOW! Don't give this asshole any more of your money or time to use your money. The last time I spoke with Ben, he was headed to Cuba to save some lost souls.... I have but one thing to say to that, God help the Cubans!

DO NOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER WITH ATLAS

JUST DISPUTE THE CHARGE WITH YOUR BANK OR CREDIT CARD.

If you cancel your order with Atlas, your credit card company will give them 15 days to respond. Just dispute the charge. You will get your money back much faster. When you dispute, the simple fact that you ordered 3 months ago and have not received any items is all the validation that is needed to get a refund.
