Can probably ditch that magazine since she only needs one round! Nice shooting and congrats to the hunter.
LOL. Ya Carter and his wife don't need a bunch of rounds for big game since theyre solid shots. Theyve killed a pile of stuff over the years with a couple rifles Ive built them. He wanted a bigger mag since he does a lot of coyote hunting and sometimes youll need more than 2-3 rounds if theres a pack of em. He shot a 25x47 barrel out in just a few years on coyotes. When it came time to rebarrel he mentioned something with a little more horsepower. Swapped bolts and threw a 25 saum on the rifle. Theyre loving it so far.

A 25 saum has always peaked my interest. Thanks for sharing.

I'm 35 rounds in on a 22" 25-284, and with 54.5 grains of H1000 I'm getting 2820 average. Accuracy has been great. What powder are you running and how long is the barrel on the SAUM?

570ish yards, 25 creedmoor with 134gr eldm. Around 2200fps impact velocity. This buck did not want to die and took three bullets through the chest cavity. I believe the final shot was the one that pinned both shoulders and anchored him for good.

Shoulder shot did not exit. No detailed necropsy but the damage was extensive.26FF09AF-2C10-41D5-A5DD-9D973360F0CC.jpeg6AE78B33-3A47-49E1-B75B-8FDBF7AEBF07.jpeg51054CA3-9347-43B8-A744-12D9453FEB91.jpegDF0506DE-A61B-4358-80E7-E3A66940A367.jpeg

10-14-24 Elk with my Apache Machine 25-06. 110 TGK did the job. He was quartering away and I him on the back edge of the shoulder. It wrecked his vitals before stopping under the offside hide. Quarter bore strikes again.
Nice work. What are the details on your rifle?

Just saw where Hornady is going to start offering 25 Creedmoor brass. Would have rather seen them do 25 PRC brass but 25 CM cases is a start.

They have about a one minute YT video talking about the new bullet and LRP brass. 25 PRC is probably a ways out, but I'm hoping their making the 25 CM brass is just ushering in their future production of 25 CM ammo.
