What happened to the blackjack guys? Is there somewhere its posted? I have a 257 blackbird and it kinda sucks because its a hammer. Between blackjack vaporizing and the 7mm blaser brass getting discontinued its as dead as dead can be.

pic at 1000 for attention. shoots 133 berger elite hunters at 3297 fps.

Hadn’t heard about 7 blaser brass being discontinued. Do you have enough brass for the barrel at least?

Yes I have 306 pieces. Clayton at WTO thinks 900 to 1000 before the barrel is shot out so I should be able to get 3 reloadings. Its a shame as its a laser. 5.4 mils at 1k yards is sexy. I have thought about tracking down another 300-400 pieces so I could spin another one for safe keeping. I only have 129 on the barrel so far. 133 berger elite hunter at 3297 fps since the eld-m wasnt out when we did load dev 71.9grs Vihtavouri N568. I was able to find enough of the same lot powder for the life of the barrel as well. It shoots that good with just necking down and loading virgin brass. I havent even gotten to shoot fireformed brass yet.

Mines 22”. I’m getting 3200 with a 135 Berger. It’s a little spicy though
I have been up to around 64.5 grains and down, have had a couple groups at 64 shoot tight, but not fast.

My barrel is a 23" brux with I forget the freebore now, but a loonnnggg freebore. I have shot it clean and dirty and just haven't seen anything real amazing rl26, retumbo, n570, n565 and now playing with h1000. I am seeing some workable groups with the h1000, but still no real speed yet. Last loads I shot got up to 62 grain with about 3030fps or so.

I have a bunch of n570 and was really hoping it would work well. Depending on the speed I see out of the h1000 I may just go back to n570 and 64 grains and see if I can get it a little more consistent.

Long action 700.
I dont know freebore and dont care enough to research. 257 blackbird was designed for the 131 blackjack ace by the blackjack guys so I didnt see a reason to mess with it.
3.2365 OAL with the 133 bergers so Techinally I could get it to fit in my tikka with hells canyon mags if I wanted They will load 3.41.

First 5 shots at 1150 this morning. 6.8 mils dial up / 1790 fps impact

Finally got around to measuring my loads. Same as yours @ 2.850. Looking forward to upping the charge weight once the barrel settles in.
I'm interested to see where yours tunes up,
My barrel either isn't going to speed up or is one of those that takes 200-400 rounds to speed up because its still shooting within 10 fps from the sample load i used. And I'm at around 250 round count.

Dang I would have figured you woulda seen a bump by now. I’m planning on shooting this weekend as I have 4 rifles I need to work on 😂 hoping to get a good amount of round through the 25 at distance too

Nice!

I'll be doing the same, just got few new cans too so that'll be fun.

Yeah I dunno maybe the steel is just really hard and is.going to take a while to break in. If that's the case ill expect really good barrel life out of this one.

I hope its the same for my wildcat, cus she's gunna be a throat scorcher! Haha

I couldn't remember which one was which so I left names out but yes this tracks with what I knew as well. I don't have the time or energy to file a small claims suit so yeah I took my lumps. Its sad though because they did something really special IMO for the 25cal guys that needed to be done otherwise we would still be where we were before.
If there were multiple parties across state lines and thousands of dollars it seems like that would be mail/wire order fraud?

I’m sure there are multiple statutes that it would fall under.
I was just thinking unlike many other scams where the party is cloaked it sounds like in this situation the person is known so a basic police report seems like it'd get the ball rolling on fairly easy to prove consequences if one was so inclined.

Don’t disagree as that seems to have worked for a few people as someone mentioned earlier. My financial loss was small compared to a couple people I’ve talked to that ordered multiple thousands of bullets without shipment.
