This, and it is already ridiculous the % of WY game Dept revenue that come from NR’s.Let's be honest, no state/residents want non residents in their state. But this increase won't slow non residents down. No state has hit the monetary threshold where people flat out stop going. So until that point is reached expect non resident prices everywhere to continue to increase.
There is a difference in not loving NR hunting and actively jacking up prices and putting more and more restrictions in place. For hunting? I'm not talking about casual vacation scenarios.
Buzz and BHA are openly teaming up with WOGA to push for 90/5/5 on Wyoming e/d/a. Embarrassed I used to give to BHA.Arse'oles to the entire lot of em.
..,
Screw Newberg. Screw Buzz. Screw the BHA & especially screw the WOGA, without a courtesy spit.
Would be a lot cheaper than living in certain Denver suburbs. Work and wife won’t let it happen at the moment though. If you think the price increase is expensive, I'll tell you what is expensive... buying property and a house to move and get resident status (I'm not sure if that is an or a ). Either way, it isn't a cheap route.
There really isnt much difference. Why should you go somewhere if you dont want folks in your state? For hunting? I'm not talking about casual vacation scenarios.
The POW deer population is really down making it difficult for sure. The subsistence hunters and other residents have been pretty good at limiting opportunity for non residents on the island. I can't remember the details but there is a pretty good push right now to make it more difficult or even eliminate non resident hunting. In the mind of the POW subsistence hunter Alaskans not living on the island are nonresidents.I agree with you and @BarCO . I've got my first international hunt planned for this summer and a trip to Alaska planned for '24. AK has tightened their belt in ways for NR's too with restrictions on no. of deer tags on POW, sheep hunt changes, etc. In the end, I think I'm more excited to spend a lot of time on a couple of hunts a year instead of bouncing around. For example, in 2018 I bounced around to 4 states in a year and I don't forsee that ever happening again.
I have been, oh wait, I'm actually here. Most of us have no problem at all with NR's, but we do have a problem with outfitters guiding on public and their actions that go along with it.Have you been to AR? My brother in law went some years back. Limits in minutes of opening shoot time. But they DO NOT like non residents there. At all.

Add Africa, New Zealand and Argentina to that list.I live in Colorado and enjoy hunting here. I don’t have the bad experiences others seem to have. I think at this point I prefer AK trips to WY moving forward, with PP in WY they would every few years anyway, so more Alaska.

Oh wow, nobody lol'd at your attempt at humor.Do you need more suckers to throw in the dirt?
Haha you’ve got jokes.I haven't asked BHA if your claim is correct, and haven't seen a statement from BHA, but Buzz doesn't speak for BHA unless he's acting under the boards direction. He's free to express his own opinion and has said so many times.
That may be technically accurate. But you are who you associate with.but Buzz doesn't speak for BHA unless he's acting under the boards direction. He's free to express his own opinion and has said so many times.
Yeah I definitely got a snide remarks at a gas station just prior to hitting the trail head last year… “Ohio boys think they are going to come kill our elk…”It is not the money. I won’t save money going to AK instead. It is more the vibe the last few times I have been up and the constant efforts/tone I get. Not worried about how much, more of who I give it to. They get enough of our federal dollars already.
