Be honest though. How hard would it be for you to skip pulling the barreled action out and checking to see if there is any grease on the threads and that it is properly torqued. Old habits die hard. I'm not sure I could do it.

Looks like a good setup.

Haha. Of course “I” would.

It’s retail to retail. The “I found a good deal” is not a legitimate argument- one day you’ll be able to find a good deal on an MRC.
Which is why I did not count it.

Again, I want one, I think it has enough to offer above a Tikks; but the Tikka still wins on a budget, in part because a guy can spend $850 and go kill stuff while slowly adding the rest. Different audience.
Agin, good deal- that isn’t the going rate for the market. The vast majority of smiths are between $200 and $300 for a cut and thread- then add shipping.
I shipped it to LRI, they charged $125 for a cut and thread this spring, that price is available to anyone. Local smith charges $200, but I don't know his work quality.
A railed RokStok costs $515?
No. A no rail, single color is $495. I included shipping in the $515. I have a railed one and will not be buying another with a rail. If someone wants a rail, that obviously adds more.
I would bet that the number of people on this board that assemble a rifle as MRC is going to do for these would fit in a living room.
That may be. Personally I would still check it at this point. I had to take a band file to the inlet of my most recent stock to get the action to fit, and it was allegedly QC'd. Perhaps I over estimate most people's mechanical competence.
The stock on the MRC rifle is carbon fiber.
I understand why, same reason I've not bought wood. While I prefer wood, it is not worth the $1k premium on my current budget. I was hoping though.

Edited for clarity.

Friend is getting a tikka done by hallco, who I think you're talking about. I'm eager to see it.

So when is the scope coming out to go with this rifle?

Might be, the storefront is The Annex. If they do a good job, let me know as I prefer to support local.
