That's a great idea then what do you think happens? Hunter numbers reduce and if they have no land to hunt on they have no reason to support hunting as a recreation and just as you have pushed to end the way they used to hunt on public land.. I am willing to bet alot of bitter people will push to end hunting entirely so people like you who obviously enjoy hunting private and perfer it that way face the same fate.

I believe that federal land funding is a rather small percentage of the actual federal budget well small in government terms

As a new wyoming resident I wasn't originally in support of 90 10 for dea put I am definitely get pushed that direction

I think you should push for it but more and more will push for the sale of public when that happens, way more so then the big 5 change that currently happened.

I personally would love to invest in lands that are currently public.

It might seem odd to contact a legislator from a state you don't live, but to respectfully let them know that your not happy with changes/ proposals occurring to you as a non -resident who funds their game and fish programs. Maybe a waste of time. I don't know ?

The legislators that I know here in Wyoming will be polite to you and forget the call twenty seconds later.

Yes there is opportunity but really it’s about time we offload these lands, for most people in this nation they’ll never step foot on them.

Why not block them up and trade them instead of outright selling them. Or look down the road a few decades. Elon Musk's company will have jet packs for everyone and access won't be an issue.

I think they should try. I dont see these lands offering much value to a lot of non residents except for the exceptional squirrel hunting and pine cone collecting they offer.

In a private world logging wouldn’t be an issue and fires would vastly reduce.

Your telling me the majority of tourist are hiking way back into these lands in mass?

Retaining 20% of public lands would cover 95% of current use as far as tourism goes.

Private ownership would make it easier to harvest lumber and minerals, plus states would get more tax rev.

I can’t even fathom how you don’t understand that unless you have literally never gone and experienced them. Lucky for the rest of us, most Americans understand the value. I talk to all kinds of people....just spent a week in PA...public land seems important to folks I talked with out that way.

This is one of the most hilarious posts I've seen here . I grew up about an hour from Pittsburgh. All my family still live there. Non-hunters and hunters could give 2 shits about Federal land conservation. Most couldnt point to colorado, wyoming, Utah or Montana on a map . Let alone north Dakota (ball buster to you ND guys). The hunters I'm sure would rather have some cash for there overpriced PA lease .
