7.2 billion in federal aid, 29.1% of your states revenue. They are in the top 10 of least, WY is in top 10 of most dependent.
I'd say Colorado is pretty dependent on federal aid, wouldn't you agree?

Exactly, so the states needs the feds or it isn’t sustainable.Fire fighting costs would bankrupt states alone...it's all in the wyoming and Utah reports, I suggest reading them and you wouldn't have to ask so many questions. Questions that are easily answered with minimal effort via some basic research.
The point your proving is these lands are unsustainable in states hands and the fed are cool with blowing out our deficit. And those that don't bother to see how state lands are managed. NM Game dept pays 1 million/year to hunt state land. How the fk are they gonna pay for BLM and national forest? And how are the residents of NM going to keep the land commissioner from trading some of that national forest for a few shopping malls?
Add the other western states and their state land quirks and it easy that selling public lands is a stupid idea.
Less than a 1/3. Top 107.2 billion in federal aid, 29.1% of your states revenue.

Yeah it's part of being the United States of America, we collectively support all kinds of things like defense spending, public lands, energy needs, infrastructure, etc etcExactly, so the states needs the feds or it isn’t sustainable.
Guarantee those leases would cost way more if on private.Do you have experience with extraction leasing on public lands?…
Didn’t think so. Either that or you weren’t paying attention.
I do.
Far from self supporting and I have no grievance with that. But it's also not true that Colorado doesn't federal aid. How much did Colorado receive from those fires that burned Boulder?Less than a 1/3. Top 10
Haha, CO goes after what they can but they could easily survive if the well dried up.Oh yes Colorado absolutely is dependent on federal funds, they take federal funding with both hands, every chance they get.
Colorado is one the few that are net positive for the federal government, they provide more than they receive. 1 of 8 states.Far from self supporting and I have no grievance with that. But it's also not true that Colorado doesn't federal aid. How much did Colorado receive from those fires that burned Boulder?
Perhaps, but no necessarily but is a good reason to keep them public...and why many companies are supportive of federal lands staying federal.Guarantee those leases would cost way more if on private.
So WY is pretty much funded by CA when you think about itLess than a 1/3. Top 10
How long does permitting take on private vs federal land? When you get time please show me something tangible. I’ll look for the same when I do. I’m busy working on a BLM lease at the moment. Extracting and processing minerals.
Until the fertilizer hits the ventilator then the feds bail you out...which I have no problem with. We help each other when it's needed.Colorado is one the few that are net positive for the federal government, they provide more than they receive. 1 of 8 states.
Depends on the state...do some research. There are federal and state requirements on permitting. How long does permitting take on private vs federal land?
On avg I’ve been told oil producers get permits within a few weeks on private, same ones take up to 3-4 months on federal with way more red tape.Depends on the state...do some research. There are federal and state requirements on permitting.
Right and one of the main reasons Industry and tax base is so good is because people want to live, work, and play in states that have lots of public land...that Colorado has a lot of.Colorado is one the few that are net positive for the federal government, they provide more than they receive. 1 of 8 states.
I am all for it. I think public needs to be public. I have a problem with a 90/10 split after the PP campaign WY runs and the dependence on federal aid.Right and one of the main reasons Industry and tax base is so good is because people want to live, work, and play in states that have lots of public land...that Colorado has a lot of.
Another great reason to keep public lands in public hands.
Hardly seems prohibitive in any way.On avg I’ve been told oil producers get permits within a few weeks on private, same ones take up to 3-4 months on federal with way more red tape.
Personal problem and a total lack of understanding in how land and wildlife resources are managed independently of one another. I can't force you to understand...and until you do it's going to be a struggle for you.I am all for it. I think public needs to be public. I have a problem with a 90/10 split after the PP campaign WY runs and the dependence on federal aid.
