I've had a Jeep of some type since I was 16. They are limited on space, but so what? Aren't we basically living out of a backpack here? That said, I think they are only good for 2 people+gear. Sure you can carry 4 guys in the longer models/4 doors but I don't think you can carry gear for 4 guys unless you go with a roof rack. Roof rack and you are good to go. I would probably opt for a Toyota tacoma though if 4 wheeling wasn't high on the priority list. The utility of a truck bed is not to be underestimated...
