I fully consider myself to be a very conservative republican, but fail to see how ghost guns are a good thing for society. Maybe I’m alone
Because a new law only hurts law abiding people that want to exercise there American freedoms.

Look at cocaine for instance it has been illegal in every state for decades and I could easily have an 8 ball by the end of the day if I wanted.
So how would outlawing 80% lowers prevent criminals from just stealing guns to do additional crime with?
It's simple someone with evil intentions can do whatever they want with a little planning and no new laws will prevent that. So why should law abiding citizens be burdened?

80% lowers being used in any sort of criminal fashion is such a tiny percentage of guns used in crime that this is laughably stupid. Nothing more than a blatant eyepoke to law abiding people.

For all adamantly opposed to a non serialized frame/lowers ban…

What regulations are you ok with existing regarding firearms?
Violent Felons or those deemed mentally unfit are banned from possessing a firearm...that is about it. Obviously there are probably some small caveats.

Full auto, suppressors, magazine capacities etc are all complete B.S...it is proven in the first two by the fact that if you just have a little extra money to give to daddy government you can buy them. So in theory the government doesn't give a rats ass as long as they get a cut.

And those are not guns that were not stolen to boot, so now a law abiding citizen isn't defending himself in court to prove where is gun went.

Mattb discount suicides and those stats are skewed too. Homicide % goes to CA by your own data, thanks. Yes, our population is higher too. Posting data from an antigun source is just icing on the cake. 🤮

Enough derailing the thread. Looks like blue or red, criminals in all states gets guns and murder people.
Homicide rates exclude suicides, so they are already discounted in the numbers I referenced above. The charts, which are a summary of CDC data, very clearly demonstrate that OK's murder rate well exceeds CA's. You will just need to take a leap of faith and trust us that 6 is more than 4.

I can't even begin to be a part of this conversation while people are using the f%&@ing ridiculous term "ghost gun"

What difference does it make whether a firearm is serialized anyway? After the initial 4473 is filed during the initial purchase, the gun can be legally passed through hundreds of hands, without any form of tracking or tracing being necessary. It's not like the ATF or government know where 99% of 'legal' firearms are anyway!

Depends on the state. Some states its supposedly required to 4473 every time

Exactly- serial numbers aren't some huge infringement and it's laughably easy to purchase serialized firearms

Then the entire fiasco is political bullshit until mandatory 4473 private transfers becomes national law, which it won't & even if it did, is absolutely 100% unenforceable.
That's where this is heading.
4473 ppt is easily enforced. People don't want to transfer guns that can be traced back to them when they're recovered at a crime scene so they do the ppt. "Law abiding gun owners" will abide

The problem with this statement is you're only looking at their next five steps, when you need to be looking at their next 100 steps. All 2A attacks are on the long term agenda, not the short game

If a complete ar lower is $49 on PSA today and a 80% lower is $129 just to not have a number I have to ask why is it worth 100% more for a law abiding citizen to have an untraceable gun?

You want me to explain why most people follow laws?
If it's mandatory to ppt gun sales most people will just do the ppt, they're easy and cheap and keep you out of jail. The ones that don't will mess up and sell a gun to an undercover cop, get rated out by their friends et el. Guess what happens to your gun rights when you get convicted of a felony involving a firearm?

I wonder if ghost guns or illegal immigrants kill more people each year?

I had to laugh yesterday when biden was giving his press conference on ghost guns saying "Look, the idea that someone on a terrorist list could purchase one of these guns is extreme? It isn’t extreme; it’s just basic common sense".

Who is the idiot with an open border and encouraging these people into our country....without a background check? Think about that for a minute!

Once again this is all political and the dems are just trying to appease their base and at least look like they are doing something, trying to get a win, because everything they are doing is a complete disaster.

A person intent on doing harm will do harm regardless of what laws are enacted.

Unserialized firearms by 1400:1 margin.

really? where is that stat?
Take the # of homicides involving a firearm and divide by the amount that were perpetrated by an undocumented person.
"Contrary to public perception, we observe considerably lower felony arrest rates among undocumented immigrants compared to legal immigrants and native-born US citizens and find no evidence that undocumented criminality has increased in recent years."
