Actually the last rodeo they had was a cow elk shot with the 338 lapua.

Poor shot placement with a 338 isn’t going to be much different than a poor shot with a 6mm or the like.

Like I said I will still shoot my magnums because I enjoy the rifle not because I don’t think smaller calibers will work. I’ve actually shot more elk with a 6.5 than anything else
