"they kill a pile of animals every year with [ NOT MANY ] rodeos".

That's it! Rodeo free insurance with big calibers ;)
Actually the last rodeo they had was a cow elk shot with the 338 lapua.

Poor shot placement with a 338 isn’t going to be much different than a poor shot with a 6mm or the like.

Like I said I will still shoot my magnums because I enjoy the rifle not because I don’t think smaller calibers will work. I’ve actually shot more elk with a 6.5 than anything else

Apparently they are "rodeo prone"

Wonder if the “ol chap” will address the delete of episode 2.
Newest episode has Nosler on.
Almost like he’s trying to earn his justification by having manufacturers confirm his opinion.

I was actually trying to be funny, but I reckon that didn't work out.
All good, I probably did take it out of context lol. Discussions are good and it’s fun to disagree with people, especially when they can joke about it.

Off to find an elk or treat least lol

Listened to the episode of the 22 creed and arc in Africa. Again, not going to recommend it but not going to say don't listen. To no one's surprise it performed extremely well on a variety of game with minimal tracking. JVB is opening to listen but then takes every opportunity to point out where the 22's are potentially handicapping the shooters ability to ethically take game. I get it, different viewpoints for different people and we should be open to listening to those possibilities. The part that gets me is at the very end he said we should listen to those experts( hornady ) about which bullets and calibers are appropriate for which situation. So I am supposed to ask a guy that sells hundreds of different bullets ,if not thousands, as to which bullets are best for each animal and believe that his recommendation is completely unbiased and has nothing to do with overall sales? Maybe this individual does offer information that way but I am a bit skeptical that he does.
