Food porn to make you forget about WuFlu

Pan seared T bone, with a side of sweet corn smothered in butter and salt, with a veggie melody of sweet onions, diced garlic, tomatoes, and cubed white taters seasoned with salt and pepper after an olive oil bath. It was good.

Outdoor Writer, love your meals. Looks like French fries are a frequent side for you. Just curious, are you baking those in the oven or deep frying, or?.....

As you noticed, fries are a major part of my diet. I sometimes use the air fryer but mostly do them in this from Faberware...

Geez, I thought my wife was the only one that nagged me. This should make all you guys ragging on me over my french fry fetish feel better. I replaced them with fried fish.

Tuesday night fish fry with battered cod nuggets, seasoned taters and green salad.

The fish was first coated with a mixture of egg, yellow mustard, Old Bay & creole seasonings, onion & garlic powder, black pepper and Huy Fong Chile Garlic sauce. Then it was dipped in a mix of white flour & corn starch.

Taters were coated with chile powder, garlic salt & paprika, then baked in the oven.

Started Thurs. night's dinner by slurping down an appetizer of a half-dozen fresh oysters with lemon & Louisiana Hot Sauce. The entree was a rare roast with our bargain $2.99 Lb. eye of round, half-baked taters, steamed asparagus spears w/malt vinegar and some thick gravy. And it was all washed down with a glass of red zin!

My Father's Day gift...a 3-bone prime rib roast, cooked to a rare 135 deg. and covered w/horseradish & au jus. A baked tater with butter, sour cream & bacon bits & some deep-fried zucchini made it taste all the better, as did a nice glass of zin.
