wanted to eat 2 as they were delicious. Although 1 sent me into a food coma.
Had a potluck at work Oktoberfest themed. Made enough for dinner the night prior.
Rouladen, meat sliced thin smeared with German mustard, slice of bacon, German pickles and onions rolled up and seared then cooked in a gravy.
Beef ribs smoked over tri tip over a tin of beans, inside that tin was a smaller tin of corn and green beans.
Random cut of venison that was stuck to the hide when I pulled it off over the ribs. Smeared a mix of cream cheese, garlic, and mushrooms seasoned with salt and pepper then rolled up and grilled. Served with a 4 cheese Mac and cheese with bacon and artichoke hearts, grilled asparagus and corn.
Day 5 of our elk trip needed to head into town for gas and a couple basics. Had brunch in John Day Oregon, the best tasting food after 4 days + in the woods

Beef brisket. Put in on at 3am this morning. It’s setting around 147 internal right now. Going to wrap at 165 or so and, finish it to 204-205. Rest it an hour and a half. Then eat.
Venison tenderloin over my home grown rutabaga and bacon from Berkshire pigs also from my farm. Cooked in cast iron lodge pot on the wood stove for 12 hours.
