Haven’t seen Larry Fleet mentioned. He’s got some good stuff and a great voice.

Just saw Randy Houser live. Damn that guy can sing!!

Josh Thompson is great but puts out an album every 8 years. Hah

Other than that, looks like a lot of the same artists already mentioned.

Brenn hill is one of my favorites he’s more cowboy country though. He has some awesome songs on many different mountain ranges in the west.

A fix back east
Just saw Vandoliers and Joshua Ray Walker recently. Vandoliers are a high energy cowpunk-ish DFW band. They're a helluva good time. Joshua Ray Walker is a big big man and he can rip on that telly.

Love all the classic and original outlaw guys and gals. 80's and 90's country was pretty good and all around fun music. Since then it is very spotty. There are some good new guys if you look at their entire catalog but sometimes what gets played on the radio isn't indicative of there entire work. Even most people that say they like Waylon, Willie, Merle, Hank Jr etc. Like their most popular songs. Like when Johnny Cash died and 90% of people played 3 songs on a loop: Ring of Fire, Folsom Prison, and Boy Named Sue and couldn't name another one.

I'll lump Western Music in with it...
Don Edwards
Jarrod Morris
Dave Starney
Chris Ledoux
Ned Ledoux
Ed Bruce
Red Steagall
R.W. Hampton

some love for the gals also:
Hailey Whitters
Sierra Ferrell
Ashley Mcbryde
Suzy Boggus
Lainey Wilson

If we're going back farther Billy Joe Shaver, Steve Earle, David Allen Coe. Edited to add Ray Wylie Hubbard.
Ray Wylie Hubbard is an excellent artist and clever lyricist. Billy Joe Shaver was an incredible songwriter. His son Eddy was his guitarist until he died of an OD. Eddy was a blistering guitarist and had a helluva bright future in front of him. He was trained by Dickie Betts.

I was on high school in the 90's and country music was pretty good. Went downhill after I think. The best years were Waylon, willie, coe cash, etc. Don Edwards, r.w., Ian Tyson, ledoux are all fantastic as well.

Old school for me. The new Pop Country just doesn't get it IMO. I do like Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton for newer artists.

I have a good friend whose son has written a ton of songs for a lot of the artists on this list, whether they be ones you guys love or hate. I have to laugh when everyone cracks on Eric Church, he's made my friend's son a ton of money over the years.

I always found it interesting that a lot of country artists don't write their own songs. Willie, Dolly and Hank Sr. made a ton of money off of songs that they never recorded.

Florida George Line and Cardi B have also made other people lots of money... Doesn't mean I like their songs.
