Sitting in the hospital waiting for my 2nd child to be born.
We have a short list of names we kinda like , but nothing we’re in love with yet. So what do you all think?....

Well my 3 favorites in no particular order,

Audrey
Whitney
Delaney

Congratulations, girls are great. Our nurse told me boys grow up, meet a girl and move away. Which ironically I've done. But girls will always take care of their fathers. Which I hope to be the case.

My two girls are named Emry (4) and Avery (2). Avery got her name from one of my waterfowl blinds. I wanted something hunting related for her name, and I happened to walk past one of the blinds as we were leaving the garage for the hospital.

Congratulations! This is not a silly question to put out there. We were conflicted when our girl arrived. We chose a name that flowed well with her last name, and one we/she could live with when shortened. Personal Favorites are:

Elise
Emma
Anna (Annabelle)

I second Emry & Avery (above). Beautiful names.

A couple of months before my little girl was born, a hunting trip took me through Cora, Wyoming. I now have a beautiful, sassy 2 year old named Cora.

Dessa - a Greek name that derives from Odysseus, I.e to wander or travel. Couldn’t have picked a better name for our kid. She’s bad ass.

I like old names in general:

Beryl
Olivia
Martha
Good stuff ...

If she was a boy, he would have been called Saxton Arthur. Anyone guess where that comes from?

When my wife and I had our daughter, I had several outdoorsy names I liked, that my wife didn't care for. She said they sounded a little too hippie haha

Willow
Sierra
Brooke

Best of luck to you and your wife, and everything goes smoothly and all are healthy.

My only daughter is named Georgia

But we debated over 2 others:
Clementine with Mini as a nickname
Ruth (great grandmother's name)

I had my heart set on Penelope as I have always liked the name of Odysseus' wife, but one of the damn Kardashian's named a kid that 6 months before my daughter was born, so that went out the window!

As you can see though we drift towards older names!

Saw it the other day and thought it was a pretty good name, but it may not fit. You'll probably have to wait till she's born and a name should pop in your head.

I had a list of cool names I liked for my daughter, but my wife poo-poo'd them all. She said they were all hooker names.

Love having a little girl - she's tough as nails but still girly.

Congrats in advance

Congrats. Our little girl just turned 1. When we were picking names, we shortlisted Evelyn and Abigail. Decided on Evelyn.

My wife and I had a little boy 17 months ago. He was a boy and we named him Henry Wade. But if we had a girl it was going to be Evelyn Grace. My wife wants to have at lease one more. So if its a girl we have a name already picked out.

I've always liked Henry for a boy's name. Classic and masculine.

Hunter

All 3 of my daughters have expressed irritation at trying to reserve the name for my son...which I never had. My daughters are certified killers so they earned the name.

My 6 month old is Henry Wynn. And my wife’s name is Grace.

For girls we had 3 candidates :

1. Caroline
2. Iris
3. I can’t remember
