A fix back east
Pretty much every plastic molding company in the world found out how much money Yeti has been raking in and are building coolers. I don't think there will be that much difference between this one or an Orca, or Grizzly, or Siberian, or etc. You can get on alibaba and find 30 companies in china that make these things and ship them over in cargo containers to get a sticker put on and used by a prostaffer.

I updated the original post in this thread to clean it up a bit and to clearly encourage folks to read the entire post before ordering. No material changes, except that I eliminate most of the language dealing with deposits since that process is no longer being required.

It was stated right from the off that the Tritan tumblers wouldn't be in the deal. You could've ordered a Twisted tumbler though.

Didn't catch that, but it appears to have given the free shipping anyways. So again....no harm, no foul.

So out of curiosity I know they aren't shipping till after the group buy ends, but does anyone else have this message when they look up their order on the Atlas site? *YOUR ITEMS ARE CURRENTLY ON BACKORDER AND ARE SCHEDULED TO SHIP ON OR AFTER 7/6/16. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS!*?

It is probably just a system requirement so that orders are not shipped. They told me their instock inventory was plenty large enough to cover our group buy last week. It is possible that a bunch of orders come in at the last minute and items are back ordered but based on that ship date I bet you are in a second wave of shipments as they only be able to ship so many per day is my guess.

GROUP BUY- IMPORTANT UPDATE

1) Here is a link to a video of an 11 day comparative test that was done of Yeti's 65 quart cooler vs. Atlas' 65 quart cooler. This test was run while an Atlas exec and his family travelled on vacation in FL, so the coolers were sometimes inside his vehicle all day in the sun, other days they were in the hotel with him. 2) IF YOU OR ANY OF YOU BUDDIES ARE ON THE FENCE ON THIS GROUP BUY, THE ODDS ARE VERY LOW THAT FUTURE GROUP BUYS (if any) WILL INCLUDE FREE SHIPPING. So, especially for folks in AK, I suggest you jump on this.

Best,
JL

Anyone else having their card being declined? I've tried two different cards from two different banks a dozen times. Each time there is a problem of some sort saying billing address doesn't match postal code or just plain declined. I even spoke with my fraud protection because chase flagged the order and they released it and said the problem wasn't on their end. I am shipping them to a different address than the billing address, but I wouldn't think that would be a problem. Im buying seven coolers and two twisted tumblers. Really want to get this thing ordered any help will be appreciated. And yes... there is money in the account :)

I'm tempted, but it is mighty strange that I can't find a single third-party report of anyone in the world who actually has one of these coolers in-hand. And I'm pretty good at Google...

There is a few burried ones I found, one was through ?walmart? Others were comparison videos from the company, either way what's the worst case scenario? If you put it on a credit card most banks have a no hassle no fault refunds for fraudulent charges and such.......
But considering when you look up the businesses info they have only been around for a little while and if they mostly due huge bulk orders I doubt it's directly to consumers they are probably being received re labeled and sold elsewhere. But if your to worried about it don't buy, go spend 3x the price on a yeti or something..... but that's just my $.02
/end rant
