your good (or not so good) customer service interactions of late

Had a good corrective experience with Bell & Carlson on a stock I ordered.

Before I ordered, confirmed which stock I wanted and needed. Received a stock that while was correct for my rifle, was not the correct inlet for my needs. A simple picture and email and a return label was sent to me and the correct stock was sent at the same time.

Ordered a Foundation stock last week and the owner couldn't have been more patient/helpful in the process of figuring out what I should order.

Contacted Aadmount trying to buy just the front scope cap for a Maven because I snapped mine in half throwing my pack on. They immediately asked me for my address to send me one for free

Badlands
I sent my 2200 pack and a jacket I had for years in for repairs. The pack was repaired no questions asked. The jacket they decided to replace instead of repair, I got a phone call from them and they let me pick a new jacket from their website because they don't make the model I had anymore. I thought it was awesome service to let me pick instead of just sending the closest comparable one.

Bought a refurbished set of SigSauer Zulu 6 16x42's last summer and used for archery league and fall hunting. Somehow or another i got a good scratch on one of the exit lenses. In December I emailed SigSauer CS with a pic and got an RMA and sent it in. 3 weeks later I got a new set of refurbed binocs (different s/n). Very happy with their CS.IMG_5161.JPEG

Groove Life(scilicon ring company) - I lost my Silicone ring about 6 months ago and happen to see that Groove might cover lost rings with their warranty. I submitted a claim and reviewed their policy which stated that lost ring claims would be required to pay $6.99+shipping for a replacement. I heard back two days later and was given a coupon code for a new ring. The coupon covered the cost of the ring and shipping.

Wish I would have known that six years ago. Wife bought me one. It was left in a gut pile ~2 months later.

Same here, I have had like two of them tear apart on me
I have really liked the Keep Fit ones I bought. 10 pack is 30 bucks and only had two break in the year I have had them. Lost the rest.

I bought a vehicle from an out of state dealership (suburban ford in Waterford Michigan) this wk and man were they great to deal with. Al was a no BS kinda guy. They smoked my local prices and made the process so dang easy. Shipping the vehicle to my house for $700... vehicles is not here yet but I suspect it all goes without a hitch.

Had some good service from Midway recently. Bought an ejector spring for a Benelli M2. Tracking showed as delivered but after a week still never seen it. Emailed them and they sent another one out same day.

Come to find out neighbor three houses up had it. They were out of town for the week and brought it down when they got home.

eBay
My account was hacked and I got locked out.
Called customer service. Was connected to an agent stateside that was utterly useless. Called back and was routed to an agent in the Philippines who had my account returned to me very quickly.

Visa
Every time I’ve needed to dispute a charge or get a new card issued, they’ve been a pleasure to deal with.

Talley rings. I sent them photos of a stripped out ring, along with the torque wrench and torque specs I used and they had a new one in the mail that next business day. I was super impressed with them.

I was sipping bourbon and watching football whilst cleaning my prized beretta AL391 Sunday. In a moment of extreme dim-wittedness I put the bolt back in the receiver without the carrier. I then managed to compound the issue until it was a complete Charlie Foxtrot.
On Monday I took it to Cole Guns where they fixed it and didn’t charge me a penny. Great resource Cole’s is.

BAD- DIRECTV

Moved out from parents, signed up for the refer a friend program where parents should get x amount and I get x amount. Parents had been Directv customers for 20+ years. Follow instructions exactly like DirecTV told me to do. Call them asking when I should expect to receive $. Tells me I have to wait 6 months of billing cycle to ensure I don't take money and run. Time marches on past date, nothing. Proceed to tell me I did something wrong in the process. After 2.5 hours on various customer service reps. I am able to get chump change off both our bills. Compared to the close to couple hundred we were supposed to receive. Yet here still today we are both customers. DOOOF

Comcast is just as bad plus its less reliable in our area.

Recently had a very good experience with Kuiu. They honored under warranty some backpack related issues I attributed to normal wear and tear and would not have expected to be covered after several years of fairly hard use.

Aero precision. Made an order for an AR build on black Friday. All parts in stock. Said shipping was 5-7 business days. Still waiting on my muzzle brake, and it took over a month before the first part arrived.

Made several phone calls only to wait on hold, hung up on, call back immediately to go straight to a voicemail saying they aren't available. Sent emails and Facebook messenger messages with zero response on anything.

I wouldn't spend another penny on anything from them.

I have one in the good column. Ultradyne is fantastic. They are super communicative. Offered a military discount, shipping was free and fast. They are great!
