Taking next two days off to heal and headed out west early thurs. As luck would have it rolled an ankle on my last easy hike:mad:, fortunately not too bad, with one week to go. Going to have to lace them up tight. Keep it up gentlemen, back late next week. A bit of snow in the forecast and you MT guys are definitely turning the temp down this year which isn't a bad thing.

Just got back from spending a few days in deep South Texas on an archery nilgai hunt I won through a Parks and Wildlife drawing. Didn't connect but got to hunt some pretty cool new country. Managed to get in some hotel gym workouts every day at least. 2 miles with my dogs this morning, then will hit legs when I get off work.

@InkedElkSlayer crohns is no joke man. My profession is in the gastro sub specialty and working with treatments that change the course of the disease. I wouldn’t wish CD or UC on anyone.
It is. He got it under control, but he was grounded for a significant amount of time while he was working through diagnosis, medication, etc.

Got back last night from a long weekend elk trip. Got 8-11mi in Thursday-Sunday and then a quick 4mi hunt yesterday. Both my parents got cows… they are almost 80. But my youngest and I are having trouble connecting with bulls.

This morning I did a quick 3 set circuit of
Squats/Calf Raise
Plyos (jump squats/scissor lunge/box jump)
Pull Up
Fisio Sit Up

Deadhang- x 1min

Twisted Aerobic Conditioning
Move for 40 minutes, BUT we would like for you to start adding other movements into your Aerobic Conditioning.

5 minutes of Rowing, Biking or running with 2 or 3 minutes of
box jumps, jump rope, wallballs, burpees - keeping your HR between 24-26 beats per 10 sec while doing these movements. You will really have to test out the pace of movement to make sure you don't exceed 24-26 beats.

19 miles (3000'-ish)—snow was crunchy, wind was howling, the stock tank I was depending on for water had quit running and was froze solid, but can't complain! :D

* no elk were hurt in the making of this film

Yesterday just stretched out and warmed everything up then had to work.

Today, I got up early and did an 8 movement, 3 set, head to toe circuit. Finished with 2 sets of barbell wrist curls/Deadhang. Then I went and shot my brand new sexy rifle build at daylight. The thing shoots! I need to slap a gong at long range and then I’ll start packing it for the rest of the season. Work today and then I’m off through Thanksgiving and will hopefully let the air out of some large antlered ungulates.
