Rest day Friday while I drove to Florida. Today I woke up at 530, packed the truck and my dad and I were on the road by 615. Arrived at his shop and set up at 700 and started to make sausage. We made 40 pounds of pork sausage (1/2 & 1/2- hot italian & bratwurst), 30 pounds of venison sausage (Cajun- very andouille-like) and processed three deer that had been hanging for 3 days. It was a busy day.
30 minute fartlek run this morning down the old railroad tracks by my folks’ place. Followed by a quick shower and then slaughtered two pigs.
This evening I did some power endurance stuff at the local Anytime Fitness. I forgot how much globo-gyms suck but it’s what I have to work with for a few weeks.
This probably doesn’t count, but spent just about every day off (3), the last week shoveling and snow blowing the driveway. We have almost 200” at the top of the mountain (Alyeska ski resort), and our next big storm is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. BRING IT!!
