Eventually most jobs will be taken over (or largely taken over).

I’m a bedside RN and viewed my job as not replaceable, but the more I think about it I’m thinking it’s likely AI will be introduced. While human RN’s can not be eliminated the number will greatly decrease and most tasks will be taken over by robots.

The article on FOX I mention, specifically mention one of the industries at risk as being healthcare . AI can assist in diagnosing and treating patients, reducing the need for some healthcare workers. I say, let AI change the bed pans.

Such as? AI walk patients? Administer meds? Cleaning and wound care?

I just don't see people being ok with that, but maybe you have given it a better look than I have. I'm an OR RN, AI is scared of the surgeons too. 😒

Maybe look at labs and vitals, give a diagnosis and prescribe treatment, but I have a hard time seeing a robot do bedside cares.

Most planting tractors are close to self driving anymore.

Not long before excavation is handled with a program and some lasers, grading is already mostly handled by sensors instead of skilled labor at the levers.

Building fence, I'd love it if something was devised to make that easier.

Robotic dairies are pretty damn cool, tho I don't know that any of this falls into AI, just technology advances.

In order to remain competitive, we have automated numerous jobs. The latest was a robotic welder that took the place of 2 employees. Hate it but can't compete against it.

AI can have mine. There is so little actual intelligence in it these days that AI would likely be an improvement.

I think AI will seriously change the job market but people will always need a person to blame when things go wrong so I think it will be limited to very particular roles.

Putting certain guidelines in regarding the bounds AI shouldn’t cross would be a good idea. I think our elected shit stirrers should get out ahead of it. But they would rather let tech eat us alive than do anything proactive.

Every sci-fi movie ever tells us we are on a slippery slope. We have gotten to the point where life has begun to imitate art.

I’m sure it will change the way it’s done, but it’s going to be some major changes to take over. Iron worker.
