Some from before this thread started, but a moose, a couple black bears, a couple hogs and 8 deer with this rifle. Using either 77TMKs or 88 ELD-M. Seeing no need to go back to one of my traditional, larger cartridge bolt rifles at this point.

Here are some of the specifics on this particular rifle: https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/ultralight-ultralight-rifles.329402/post-3752334Can you provide more detail on your rifle? I’m curious about the barrel length and weight. It appears to have a fixed butt stock and what looks like could be a carbon fiber hanguard with a simple paracord sling. Also I can see you have a side charging handle. Curious about why you went with a side charging handle over a traditional, rear charging handle. Thanks.

There's a wealth of information on these builds (mine and many other's) in the Ultralight-Ultralight Rifles thread.
I discuss my "whys" in more detail in the first couple of posts in that thread, but essentially, lightest rifles possible (at this point), simple, accurate, relatively inexpensive. These rifles are working really well for me and a lot of other guys.

Other details on that rifle: 16" Shaw 223 Wylde unported barrel, 1.9 oz 9" CF handguard I built, 3.7 oz carbon fiber stock I built. There are details in the thread on the stock and many other stocks and handguards other guys have built as well. These can be very light though using only commercially available parts.

That barrel is a 1 in 7 also. The 88s did okay for me on 5 deer and a couple of hogs, but not quite as well as they have for others - but 7 animals is a pretty small sample. They're also difficult to run within AR mag constraints even though I can load out to ~2.318" in my Duramags.Awesome! I may have missed it, but what twist you running with those 88’s? I plan on shooting 77 TMK out of the 1:7 16”. Looking for other options as well.

The 77TMK and 73ELD-M are easier to work with and the 73 has been really easy to load for in this barrel, the 77TMK less so. Both have worked really well on game. The moose and black bears were taken with the 77TMK, the other three deer with the 73ELD-M.
I'm going to window a mag and mess with the longer ELD-M bullets (75s, 80s and maybe the 88s too) to see if I can get something going with those. I'd like to see what the 80 ELD-X can do as well.
I think this might be the year I hunt with my AR, it has been quite some time since I did any hunting with one.
Nothing but positive things to say about the black hills load. And I know there is another loader for the 77tmk that has good reviews, but I don’t want to be the one to call out the maker (and be responsible for it being out of stock)!Currently not set up to reload anything. That is an option down the road, I have looked at the factory loaded AAC options for the TMK. Accuracy isn’t the best, but I will remedy what I can.
I fell into a REM 700 SPS in 308 for $150 (long story) so I’ll run that a little as well.
I’ll dig into some factory options for “5.56”/223 and start testing. Definitely need a trigger replacement first.
A buddy took this buck at a bit over 200 yards with the AAC 77TMK. His first shot on game with his solo. The AAC isn't the fastest, not the most accurate (not bad), but no issues for him on three deer last fall.Currently not set up to reload anything. Why can’t you use one? Caliber or mag restriction? I’m asking because I’m genuinely curious.I’d really like to use one for big game here at home.
