Have had one online interaction with Mr. Phelps, and he was complaining about the authorities pestering him for not having adequate filming permits for public lands, or one of his buddies. Something along those lines.

All he did was piss and moan. Blah.

So what are the bets for what’s next? Stone Glacier or Schnees?
Stone Glacier would be a bit redundant since they already own First Lite and SG seems to have set themselves up pretty nicely into hunting clothing. Not sure they would want to buy SG just for the packs and trash a very nice apparel brand at the same time.

Schnee's doesn't really make sense to me either. But for no particular reason.

I feel like a merger between them and Weatherby is more likely than the two above.

Why would Weatherby need to merge?

They don’t. And I don’t think they ever would. There’s no way Adam weatherby would want to be invoked with Chernin.

Now, something between them and barstool sports? Sure. Why? Chernin owns half of barstool sports.

the barstool guy was on the show not long ago.

(Phelps)......So that's why I have rec'd no calls and only one email saying 'what time to call' and I responded never to hear back again......good for them, bad for me, I guess.

Honestly, I`m just tired of the likes of Bass Pro and Meateater Empires buying up my favorite supplier and fing it up. Others have done the same too.
I agree 100% with BassPro ruining Cabelas and now Sportsmans, but what has MeatEater F'd up? They seem to take a backseat approach to owning these companies, service and quality sure has not seemed to change with FirstLite- I am by no means a huge promoter of Meateater, but am pretty impartial- genuinely wondering if you have had a bad experience, or just jumping on the anit-Meateater band wagon.

Not to much in particular. I just choose to do business with the smaller companies. I am a small business owner and know how hard they work and enjoy supporting them. Guess I live in to small of a circle and hate change.

I have been through a number of acquisitions and mergers in my career and while the new owners always say nothing is going to change...it always changes and seldom for the benefit of the customer. Growth and sales goals go up and expenses and corners get cut. I may stock up on what I like from Jason and be done with it.

Sorry, thought my facetiousness would come through better. Don’t think they would actually merge with Weatherby. Meant that I thought that was more likely than Stone Glacier and/or Schnee’s. They use SG packs and Schnee’s boots, but they have actually done special edition rifles with Weatherby.

I didn’t see the Phelps thing though.

**** sake. Meateater is officially bone collector.

Not even close!! Bone Collecter was a bunch of crappy Wal-Mart t-shirts and keychains. How does that compare to a company that is partnering with, and purchasing top tier hunting brands?
