Idaho has state income tax. If you swap residency you will be charged state income tax. In my case, it was substantial. Several hundred dollars per biweekly check.

It's not always as simple and turn key as many believe

This thread reminded me of the thread about a year ago of some kid trying to justify how he was a resident of ID. When it clearly wasnt and was trying to find legal help. Lol.

I doubt you'll go back to WA after the 18 months.
