What does everyone do for a living?

After being a machinist/toolmaker for 10 years I said I’d give it up if I lost my job. Lost my job 6months later. Went to work as a heavy equipment mechanic for 6 more years. Now I’m a fixer. I fix equipment and machinery that operators break. And they break a lot of stuff. It’s not glamorous but I like it most days. I’d post pics but opsec is in play most of the time.

Ever cut a yellow eye otolith?

Always been curious the life cycle of sebastolobus alascanus. Didn't know they were endangered. We used to catch a lot of them at the 175 fathom mark in area 3A.

yes sir!! made my high school money filleting halibut, lings, and yelloweye, and salmon for charter companies. Many people (I guess) heard that making earrings out of YE otoliths was cool ....

I mill high end hardwoods for a number of different uses, mainly exterior and interior cladding. Hope to eventually go to graduate school to study zooarchaeological ornithology.
