How often do you get to do this?

How many days do you get to hunt, trap, scout etc. during the year?

After finding out I’m destined to be a brokedick all my life in the car loan thread because there’s no way I’ll ever pull down $30k a month I find solace in this thread seeing that I get out several X more than most guys. Maybe that’s why I can’t land that $30k a month job 🤔

Bingo. The way I see it, when I get old, I'd rather scroll through photos and memories of the woods and mountains than copies of paid invoices and big contracts.

Gotta say not enough time spent hunting and fishing. Three kids in sports and running a business have really consumed a lot of my free time. Should be working now, but scheming about how I can squeeze out some extra days.

The quality public land adventures are limited for another year or so until my crazy busy daughter graduates. Luckily, I am blessed to have some family land nearby so I am in the woods a few times a week doing something. It's not the best hunting land, but it keeps the monster at bay until I can get my big woods fix. Praying I can keep my remote job for at least a few years after she graduates and I can bump around the NF's with starlink and some solar panels chasing turkeys and deer.

I feel like I went from 100+ to 20 or so days afield since my first kid was born in '22. Even though my wife is supportive, taking care of two toddlers while solo is a lot of work. This weekend, I took both kids (almost 3 and almost 2) prairie dog hunting, and even though it wasn't a long outing, the trip was successful. My wife even thanked me for taking them!
