I would love to see it on a grizzly. I think it would be incredible. #2 (or even bigger) buckshot TSS seems like great bear medicine.

Here's an interesting conversation.

If size and weight is not a consideration and the gun is already out and ready to roll I'm going M2A1 with a whole belt of APITs.

plain lead buckshot will flatten and some will penetrate. Why copper and nickel plated buckshot is made...

I've seen stuff talking about BB tungsten fully penetrating a deer's rib cage at 75 yards. Would have no issues carrying some 3-inch #1 Buck in grizzly territory.

Guy i know from AK says the locals carry 000 buck intermixed with slugs and a .44 mag. Sounds reasonable - shoot the legs out and then kill it.

A charging grizz, what I would WANT is a 105mm howitzer. More realistically I would want my Beretta 1301 12 gauge, loaded with a combo of slugs and 15 pellet 00 buck. Holds 8 rounds and shoots as fast as I can pull the trigger.

On the trap line here in Idaho carrying a shotgun with all my other stuff is often impractical; I typically carry a super redhawk in .480 Ruger with 400gr hardcast.
