Patience. My biggest mistakes in this game were always due to lack of it.....can't be stressed enough.
I don't have stop loss for this one, that in essence takes away the incredible bargain we are all holding.
It hit two of my stops today at $1, but I was glad to take the profits. I bought back in at .89 and .91 again.

I just bought CDEV at .9594 and its headed down. Question. Whats a good price to put a stop loss? Where it auto sells?
I clearly have no idea what Im doing..

Don't risk money in this market unless you're willing to lose it. You'll be fine. If it drops close to .90 I would pick up a few more shares. Almost all of the oil stocks are getting spanked today. You should be happy you picked up this late below a dollar.

It would be very satisfying to see CDEV tip back over $1 before close. I picked up another 1100 shares this morning at .95 to put me at 4600 total shares at .69 cost basis. I'm staying in for boom or bust.

$CDEV gradually moving back up, today was difficult one but it happened for many reasons. The stocks rsi was very high (in the 70’s indicating an overbought stock, so the price had to correct itself...and it did pretty badly), the stocks beta is higher than average which means it’ll react much more when the market moves up or down, hence why our stock took a tough tumble, and lastly 3)oil In the Middle East has been dealing with tensions; but that will eventually ease up! I hope you’re all still in on this stock and today didn’t scare you to the brink of selling, the market can be scary sometimes but that’s the game. Investing is more psychological than it is smarts trust me ....I studied finance and constantly read up on the markets and even I struggle during moments like these to remain patient, but thankfully we’re gradually moving bulls! We’re not done yet :)!

Did anyone short any positions today? After the day we had on Wednesday and then yesterday being kinda flat, I figured today would be sell off/down day. I shorted some VLO and MRO this morning on the open. Did pretty well.

Well done on a bloody day, I could short TXT, a noob stock for me that I shared here this morning, but for the hundred bucks I'll let it ride.

Good for you guys..most have way more balls and money than me.

Picked up a little CDEV today for fun. Bought FANG during the initial crash for like $22, almost up to $40 now.

Any of you chaps holding TOPS? I'm in at .285. What's the strategy?

If you would have bought 13 billion in stock in 2004 you’d have about $.22 left today after all the RS. I watched as pumpers on every single public forum pushed that thing 2 years ago, they were pushing winter shipping this, storage that. About the time it passed $1 they were gone, no activity after that. About 1000% for the pumpers, losses for the rest. It could get a bump on a good day, but it’s hard to tell. I mean if you are willing to risk it, can hold for a bump. But it could go down steady for a long time

Curses. But that's the game, I suppose. I'll probably try to get out of it next week.

Picked up some CPE & FET. Will be short hold on FET. Haven’t decided on CPE. CDEV, as I have stated before, will be a long hold. Was tempted to pick up more in the dip but like my .44 average. All holding or rising after hours. Will be interesting with most having earning reports next week. Appreciate all of the input and opinions. Enjoy reading through the thread and see how others are approaching the market. Have a good weekend everyone

Gaining a little back in the after-hours but took one in the shorts today.

Oddly enough, I'm up $.16 for the week.....I'm glad it's not my day job.

Have a good weekend fellas.

I’m up 13.72% for the week in Robinhood and 7% in Webull......not great, but a damn sight more than it would make sitting in standard savings accounts. This is fun to me and I enjoy doing it. I’m just not learning the market (if that’s even possible), but so far I’ve done ok with little guidance from anyone other than YouTube.

Any opinions on the best individual trading platform? I’ve always used USAA, which is switching to Schwab this month. It would be a good time for me to jump ship if there is something better.
